What would be great is if they came back from commercial and Mitt and Newt jumped up to the podium from the ground all red faced with their hair mussed. LOL!
“Ive had problems on this end, so I have had to miss some of the debate. Is Newt winning or not?”
My computer did a fritz and I had to shut it down and bring it back up. It’s been a weird debate. The audience has been told not to respond so that’s a dud.
Romney attacked Newt about the usual things - Freddie Mac, he was forced out of the leadership, etc. etc. They let him heap up charge after charge after charge before letting Newt respond.
It’s been very boring but the last several minutes on other questions, Newt’s knowledge shows he has answers for all these problems. It was back to, “I agree with Newt” as others responded to these other questions of policy.
Is Newt winning? Well, yes, but it’s not stunning as it has been.
Not allowing applause has caused it to be quiet and strained.
the panelists pancake makeup, especially Brian’s, is on so thick that they almost disappear - the light that would delineation, just gets absorbed.
They look like cardboard cutouts.
It’s annoying...
If Jeb Bush ever runs for president, his opponents for the nomination will die Terri Schiavo around his neck. He could have stepped in and stopped her murder but he did nothing.
Newt was brilliant on the space program; on english as our official language..he gave stats and said there are 86 languages in Miami-Dade County alone. Mitt went off on some foreign language teachers in the public schools in Mass. NBC hosted a boring debate with repetitive questions. No mention of the UN! our failing schools, our national debt. Mitt was on the attack in the beginning and went after Newt with lies. Newt reputed him but he kept going like the energizer bunny from hell
Jeb is a non-starter because his last name is Bush.
That's just what this debate was designed to do. Get Newt and Mitt at each others' throats, and have Rick look "presidential." The after-debate analysis will be just like last Thursday -- Rick Santorum won! in the hopes of drawing enough voters from Newt to Rick so that Romney can win Florida.
What is up with the audience. BORING>
Yes, sir, the moderators have this debate geared to Newt or anyone from being animated.
His answer was excellent. He’s having a terrific debate tonight. All his responses are spot on.
Let me throw this out. Does anyone think Newt is too short?
Since everything is visual and Obama is tall, I was trying to visualize them both standing at a podium.
Beets not Beech...got it. lol on me
Gee, I would think it would be much better without him...Thanks for letting me know, maybe I'll listen to it in the morning.
Later rodguy.
Mitt furthered conservatism by having kids?
Man .. Romney looks even more greasy than usual tonight.. What does he use in his hair motor oil?
Romney’s conservative acts: got married and had children. Oh... that could include Obama and the Kennedys
Still no mention from Williams of Obama — the incumbent president! Not one single mention. How can you have a presidential debate without even mentioning the incumbent president?
I had forgotten that the Schiavos were from PA and that Senator Santorum intervened. I actually remember.being on those threads—and Santorum got heat for his stand.
One thing, he has been rock solid consistant in his positions.
