I think they are calling it as quickly as possible so that tonight is not “interesting” and does not attract a lot of attention. Make Newt’s victory “boring” and forgettable so that it doesn’t slop over into Florida. In that way, the media gives Romney another chance.

I agree. It’ll be back like when RR took the oath of office and instantly our hostages were released.

This is a great, great step in the “right” direction!!!
Rick Santorum needs to follow the lead of “His Rickness” and bow out and back Newt, because like Perry, Santorum ain't winning anything, period.
And always remember all the establishment whores and sycophants that have tried to shove Milt, a.k.a. THE FATHER OF OBAMACARE down out throats; F**k them and f**k Milt!!!
p.s. I wonder who's pissing their pants more tonight: Romney or Obama?

I’m in Florida. When I went to town today, all I saw were Ron Paul supporters . . . dozens and dozens of them on numerous busy street corners with signs and handouts.

LOL two people thought the same thing so that is bad for Romney. He is so fake and polished like he has been in a room with Rove for three days practicing.
To: thatjoeguy
Is it me or are they calling it pretty quickly? I know the big thing in the news is to be the first to call it but is it me or is there less then 1% reporting?
Megyn Kelly said on some show last week that their exit polling can often give them the answer long before they go on the air. To the extent her opinion is reliable, it suggests that the exit polls were unambiguous that Newt was faaaar ahead of the rest of the pack...so much so they were confident to call it so early. I was going to turn on the TV and watch the results...no need now!
So glad to see the media get their "conventional wisdom" folded in five corners and shoved in their Obamas!

Way to go Newt!

Meanwhile, the Romney vote lead grows...will Foxnews have to retract its projection for Newt??
To: Jim Robinson
Rove was just on Fox looking very grim saying that there are only 3 states that have voted and there are a lot more to come. He’s saying it’s too early to say who has the lead in the race for the nomination. Just a few days ago he and the establishment were saying that if Romney won SC, then the race was over.

Oh, yes she did. Geez.No she didn't. She teased a little about who she would vote for if she was in SC. Her Husband endorsed him. She has not come out and given her full support for anybody yet.
But if you want to "pretend" that she did, then I can play your silly little game.

I don't recall any presidential candidate adding the second place guy to his ticket. Maybe I am wrong? Anyone here help me on this? Reagan adding Bush to his ticket in 1980?
