You should try reading - Newt was cleared of all charges. He did pay $300,000 to pay for the expenses of that investigion. See, simple answer if you read.

You should try reading - Newt was cleared of all charges. He did pay $300,000 to pay for the expenses of that investigion. See, simple answer if you read.


And as a direct result of all that, the ethics rules were tightened up by Congress so frivolous charges couldn't so easily be made for the purpose of political harassment.
