Yep. Sean used to bill himself as “Rush in training”. He was the morning host live in Atlanta preceeding Rush’s show on WGST. Rush began to have Sean on as a fill-in host and that propelled Sean to the national stage.
Newt was Congressman for the 6th district which was Marietta and the northside of Atlanta. As Monority Whip then Speaker it was common for him to be on local radio and TV.

Yes, I was glad Newt took the occasion to mention Rick Perry and thank him for his support.

He also said he would be working with Perry to implement things that are important to both of them.

I think Perry’s endorsement had a big effect, not only in the votes Perry would have gotten but in the wide influence he had as a lot of people’s second choice.

Perry has a pretty dang good job in Texas, but he might be interested in a post in a Newt administration if it was something he believed in deeply, like Energy Secretary.

Don’t forget John Bolton who apparently endorsed Romney for no other reason than, after seeming to win 2 primaries, Bolton deemed Romney the inevitable one to win the nomination. That after Newt had said publicly that he’d like Bolton for SoS.

Nonetheless, when the dust settles, whoever gets the GOP nod in Tampa will have all others on board, and if elected, will hopefully pick the best available people for Administration positions, regardless of who they endorsed in the primary.

I keep reading that Sarah Palin can’t endorse because of her contract. Is that a fact or internet rumor? And, if her contract with Fox prohibits endorsing, how does a Fox contract then permit Brit Hume to trash ONE, and only one, of the candidates, i.e., the one who won tonight???

A ticket that could not be beat - ans would set the country on fire -[Gingrich/West]

Hard to disagree with that.

I know it would cause tremendous satisfaction and relief in conservative patriot quarters, but I'm not so sure how it would sell to fence-sitting Moderates, Independents, and recently emancipated ex-liberals.

Not saying that it wouldn't - I just haven't thought it through.

BTW, I saw that West has recently indicated that he's open to accepting a VP nod. Woot!

It’s sad to say but suicide is often the blueprint for destruction in the lives of those that are left behind. Thanks for the background information regarding Brit’s son. His behavior makes more sense to me now.

Don’t forget as well that Florida is a closed primary. In South Carolina, Newt won 40-28, but he carried GOP voters 45-28, a 17% margin. Newt only won the indies by 31-26.

The takeaway: Mittens has a much steeper hill to climb in Florida. Florida may be a more “diverse” (Translate: liberal) state than S.C. but the primary electorate will be less diverse (translate: more conservative). Santorum is going to fade because people will not want to waste a vote. This will help Newt run up huge margins in the panhandle and the I-4 corridor that Willard will be unable to overcome elsewhere.

I think Newt will effectively end Romney’s chances in Florida.

I agree with your premise but I am not sure what to do. I was asked by friends of mine to join to Newt train so to speak.. If it were for the national campaign, I would. MY agnst is over the NV part. Mitt has it sewn up here. NV might as well be BYU!!!!!

I am open to anyone thinking that I can make a difference.. between the MIttRus/BYU people and the SEIU goons. But Seriously things are so bad here that working takes precedence over trying to win minds here :(

I don’t think Fox prohibits Palin from endorsing because the Fox hosts (Hannity, Greta, Baier) continue to ask her if she will. I would think they would know if she can’t.

I heard she said last week (paraphrase) “1st dude speaks for the Palin family”.

Who knows, maybe her tacit endorsement through the head of her household, pushed the victory higher enabling the momentum to translate to Florida. I know she is a special Lady in our time like Debra was in Biblical times!

The above posts point out why it is an uphill battle for Newt to win. When you have virtually the whole media against you including Fox news(Hannity may be OK) it makes for a very tough battle.

Then we go to the radio and the “so-called” Conservative talk shows. Maybe Newt can count on 3 or 4 shows with all the rest pumping for Mitt. Then you have the RINO establishment doing all they can to stop Newt. So on Newts team we have the Tea Party, Free Republic, sometimes Sarah Palin and a few others. It is really going to be a tough battle.

I know you meant Brit’s son and, yes, I remember him, he was on Fox news some-—very cute boy and obvious affection between him and Brit.

Armey was a rat in the attempted coup also. He was in it because he thought if he could get Newt out, he would be chosen speaker. When he found out, they didn’t want him as speaker but wanted Paxon, Armey went to Gingrich and told him about the planned coup, which ended up failing.

Yes, Newt was gracious to the other candidates while Mitt was really nasty about Newt’s so-called attack on capitalism. Looks like that’s gonna be his main argument going forward.

Rubio is the wildcard in FL.

Indeed. Will he endorse Newt? (I’m betting no).

Your guy Perry did the classy thing and took one for the team. I would also add that he was much improved in the final debates.

Hat tip to Perry.

“What was your motivation for posting to me? Boastful pride? That’s sweet. I’m sure Jesus is impressed with your motivation too! :-)”

Truly the only boastful pride I have is in what Jesus has done for me. For I know that as the bible says, my very best is as filthy rags to God. ONLY Jesus can make me white as snow.

I am sorry if my post to you didn’t not seem sincere.

Hume....He’s supporting Myth Romney.

So, I can’t be easy on him...he is an enemy to conservatism now.

This is politics, not, emotional revenge theater.
