It's 0930 EST and there's nothing in the sidebar that looks like a live thread for the SC primary . . .
Greta Twitter:
“Below is lifted from the poll info just posted on GretaWire. In light of a recent interview with his ex wife, this number is particularly interesting:
Among women, Gingrich leads Romney 42% to 26%.”
Go NEWT!!!
I'm just sometimes amazed at the level of nastiness toward fellow conservatives, and the depths some will go in their anonymity to belittle solid conservative folks who see things slightly differently.
btw, when I was a 7 year old girl in elementary school, I had a 6th grade boy bullying me. I went out onto the playground and beat the tar out of him. :)
Thank your AMAZING husband for me!
Just ignore the Establishment, this is a huge blow to their power. The Country Club is burning.
Pray for America
Please consider God’s standards in terms of Matthew 18:22 and get back to us :)
Hey! No fair! You stole that talking point from the chick, Borger, of CNN!! About Newt and women....
I have been reading your posts over the past few weeks and until this post, I couldn’t determine which candidate you supported. Perhaps I wasn’t on the threads where you posted a preference, I don’t know.
That being said, there are choices we make beyond the facts based upon intangibles, a gut feeling, a vibe, whatever.
That’s my issue with Santorum. I just don’t like his look. It’s quite like nObama’s in a way. He looks down his nose in the way nObama lift’s his chin. People have used the word “petulant” to describe him. I’ll go one further and say he’s a snot, in plain English.
On the other hand, Speaker Gingrich has done some controversial things. That doesn’t bother me. Thinkers do controversial things. Cowards shrink from controversy. For every RINO deed performed, 10 bold Conservative initiatives were introduced.
America needs bold if we are to survive.
Just voted in Taylors, just outside of Greenville.
Turnout is light, and it is pouring rain.
Wife passed by Tommy’s Ham House (local political gathering spot) in downtown...bunch of people rallying with flags, banners, so there is some enthusiasm.
Santorum is a loser. (not a pejorative, he had the biggest loss ever for an incumbent two term Senator) He is BORING. He is a union guy. He sold his soul to support Arlen Specter. He is a big government guy. He has no leadership experience. Actually he has a lot of nerve running for president with his pathetic record.
Call it bashing if you want to. The guy CAN'T WIN, WON'T WIN, and should do the right thing and drop out.
It's delusional on his part and yours to think he has a prayer of being the nominee, let alone president.
Check my tag line.
The weather...no problem. The storms aren’t steady, there are breaks and our polling places are close by. It’s only a little chilly, 58 degrees but it is winter time. :-)
We’ll have low turn out because it is a primary rather than a general election and the field has dwindled. Hopefully the Paulbots will be hung over and sleep in during this cloudy, sometimes rainy day.
There had been 50+ people at my polling place this morning one and a half hours after the polls opened. It is a Saturday and cloudy with some light, some heavy rain. Most folks will have gotten up early and voted on their way out to run chores or have a Saturday meal out.
The weather won’t really play a role in my opinion no matter what the msm might use as an excuse.
Your comment to PSYCHO: “Hope you settle yourself emotionally, so I don’t have to chastise you again.”
You obviously don’t know much about PSYCHO - you’re on the losing end of this. Find another lesser ego to trounce.
Go, Newt.
I've made myself clear as to what I was saying. If you're interested, you can scroll back and read.
Thanks. :)
Yes, it was good having Newt wasn’t it.
Despite all that, Jimmy Carter made a lousy president.
I’m semi inspired by your Santorum sweater-vest picture. I’m thinking “Now that’s a guy I could go to a cricket match with.”
I’d be proud to sit down and have an A&W Rootbeer with that guy.
Feisty Newt Rocks The Ham House
A feisty Newt Gingrich came out swinging against Romney, opening his remarks with: "I have a question: Where's Mitt?" to cheers from the audience here at Tommy's Country Ham House.
He added that he'd been looking forward to a debate with his opponent.
"in the very near future we hope you'll see the light," he said to the Romney supporters holding up signs around him.
Gingrich boiled his closing argument down to one sentence: " Just remember, I am the only conservative who has the opportunity to defeat a Massachusetts moderate."
To that end, he highlighted his own roots in Georgia, swiping at Romney saying "I don't think they serve New England clam chowder here."
