It's 0930 EST and there's nothing in the sidebar that looks like a live thread for the SC primary . . .
Thank you. I agree!
Based on current spread, what will the delegate allocation be? And what will be the total awarded delegates to date for the 3 states?
LOL! Yes, God bless those fine patriots!
DON'T FEED THE TROLL.
Either BenKen is a seriously disturbed 'toon who needs professional psychiatric help, OR he is a paid disruptor whose mission is to take the focus of this thread OFF the subject at hand and work to see it become predominantly a theological discussion designed to reinforce the liberal stereotype of "the religious right" as a bunch of Puritanical nut-cases.
Regardless of why he is doing it, BenKen appears to be succeeding as a destructive disruptor, and he is able to succeed only because folks are feeding the troll.
I admit I've done a little proselytizing on FR, but Ben Ken has done nothing else, and all to the denigration of the mission and subject at hand. I urge fellow FReepers: Ignore him, and this thread will improve.
“The only person unhappier than Mitt Romney tonight is Newt Gingrichs ex-wife.”
That thought must have been on the voters mind also!!!! Women rocked her! I knew they would. Men are IN again! LOL!
I'll never forget the treachery of Tokyo Rove, Mike Castle and Tom Ross.
What the hell is wrong with the Fox cameraman? The camera keeps shaking and it’s damned annoying. Is Fox so in the toilet for mittens that they can’t stand filming Newt’s speech on winning this primary?

Saturday's key South Carolina primary in an upset that transforms the topsy-turvy race.

Newt’s gracious tonight.
I am thrilled over Newt’s SC victory and looking forward to Monday’s debate in Fla. However, Mitt has already spent 7 MILLION in campaign ads in Fla and we know it is Bush country. Next few races are really tough...Nevada, Colorado and Minn, which are leaning towards Romney. I think Newt picked up all 25 delegates in South Carolina. Also, take note that Rick Santorum and Gingrich are not bashing each other as much tonight..could something be going on?
If Gingrich is anywhere nearly as successful as Reagan he'll need to have a true conservative in at VP...but also someone who isn't unduly abrasive but can bring others in...like Reagan himself was.
That's a tall order - getting close to Reagan's success. Reagan was the man for the time. Reagan handled power well because he didn't really care for it. Power was only a means to an end for Reagan. Reagan's end was, in a sense, an end of power, a reduction of government power including his own. Reagan didn't seek office - the office sought him. And as the plaque on his desk said, he was able to so much because it didn't matter to him who got the credit.
This may be the most substantive difference between Reagan and Gingrich. I think Gingrich wants the power and (maybe) the glory and (I think) the credit. Yes, I hope he wins the nomination and the election, but I worry about him once he's in power. I think real success tends to flee from us when our success becomes the most important thing to us.
An insightful post. If Gingrich defeats Romney, and then Obama, his last, most crucial opponent may be Gingrich.
This the same group that didn't think in 2008.
We shall see if they are any smarter now that they are 4 years older.
My wife and I cast our votes for Newt this morning and for supper we had ribs washed down with iced tea. Now I am celebrating with some Kentucky muscle relaxer. I can’t predict the future but if Newt does not win the nomination he will be the FIRST to ever win the SC primary and not be nominated. I am not totally confident but at least I can rest assured that he is light years ahead of McCain who was picked by the media. There must be some very frustrated media types right now, Carolina has revolted against them. Let’s see them try to pretend that Obama is vastly more intelligent than Newt Gingrich, they may as well pretend that Obama is the messiah...oh, wait, they already did that.
He’s being very gracious. Doing a good job.
I really like the message Newt is putting out, how all four candidates are great examples of American exceptionalism. Classy and also true, and it elevates him to recognize the best in others.
Pretty classy speech so far
Newt saying very nice things about Santorum and Paul.
Class act!
FAUX is dead to me. There is CSPAN, there is CNN for hard news. The rest is FRRRRRRRRRRR! Yea!!!!!!
>>> Thank you. I agree! <<<
