An ex-wife of Newt Gingrich told ABC Newss Nightline that the Republican presidential candidate wanted an open marriage.
In a published clip of Brian Rosss interview with Marianne Gingrich, which will air tonight, Marianne Gingrich said her husband wanted her to accept the fact that he had a mistress. He was asking to have an open marriage and I refused, she said.
Marianne Gingrich said Newt Gingrich admitted to his six-year affair with Callista, a congressional aide who is now married to the candidate. Newt Gingrich allegedly said Callista doesnt care what I do.
Asked for her response, Marianne Gingrich said she responded, No, that is not a marriage.
According to ABC News, Marianne Gingrich will say her husband does not have the moral character to be president. She will express her shock at learning that her husband conducted his affair with Callista in my bedroom in our apartment in Washington.

She was no saint but doesn’t your question imply that at some point his first wife died?
check out post 124...
You are 100% correct, that was the report I read several months back. Thanks.
With the money it takes to run for President and what that person has to put up with the press it is a wonder that anyone would want the job.
I think that Romney is in this thing to win and he will knock out anyone that gets in his way. I would like to think at the end of the day that there is someone that can’t be bought.
Right now isn’t about beating Obama.
Right now is about nominating a principled, true conservative who in the light of the truth can destroy Obama and the establishment come next November.
Somehow this is all lost on the sheeple...

It’s pretty silly. To most of us, it’s just another bitter old Pot calling the Kettle Black. She’s just too consumed in narcissism to see how desperate she looks.
I have a question.
ABC is debating the ‘ethics’ of interviewing the X, right?
They dug her up, which means they went in and found her.
How come we can’t get that kind of effort out of Fox News with respect to Obama’s transcripts, ex-girlfriends, past employment, etc.?
I know Romney has Caymen bank accounts? How come I don’t know anything about a sitting President?
WTF already.
I’d like to discuss the ethics of ABC NOT DOING THIS ON OBAMA.
They said the same thing about JFK and we now all know how that really turned out.
He's finished. There is no chance in a couple of days of him overtaking Newt and Romney when he is behind both by double digits.
All people like you continue to do is split the conservative vote and help Romney.
Yes but Paul, Romney, Perry, Santorum, Bachman, and even the early drop out from MN would also fit that bill. I’m in year one of my marriage - no where near understanding either the difficulties or rewards - but many folks do keep it in their respective pants - seems like we could get one for a nominee.
P.S. “I don’t cheat on my wives and ditch them when their sick” is a pretty powerful tool to give campaigners like Obama/Axelrod. Think it over.
What you meant to say is that you're voting for Obama.
Unless you're referring to some, yet-to-be-determined, third party candidate, no we can't it.
South Carolina is it, the last chance to avoid a disastrous Romney nomination that will cripple conservatism for at least a decade.
It's time to give up the fantasies of finding a perfect candidate and face reality.
Oh I don't disagree. It sucks that this is what we've been reduced to. And if Newt goes down to defeat in November, and in light of the 2008 fiasco, I think it's time for the GOP to go, and bring us a new party where we won't have to face such a dearth of viable choices.
Give his lack of charisma, how on earth is Rick going to overcome a double-digit lead that both Newt and Romney have over him in less than 48 hours?
You're fooling yourself and helping Romney in the process.
All people like me? You mean a principled conservative who cares about who I vote for? Sorry but Newt is an immoral candidate and one who will likely get his butt handed to him (yet another progressive republican) going against a democrat.
NO VOTE for a progressive.
I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect character in our leaders.
So, you'd rather have Mitt or Obama. What more needs to be said.
Your principled decision would destroy any hope of a conservative agenda for five to nine years.
Are you hoping for some sort eternal reward for standing on principle?
How in the hell do you know?
You don't. You only THINK you know, the same way you THINK you know all about Gingrich's "personal laundry." It's incredibly stupid to make your choice of candidate based on what you don't, and cannot, know. You CAN and DO know both of these candidates' voting and political records. Make your choice on candidate based on what you actually know, for crying out loud, not on lascivious crap like what Marianne Gingrich is dishing up.
If Santorum gets the nomination, I will be proud to vote for him, even if he does strike me more and more as being a little too sanctimonious. I KNOW it is a failing he and I share, so I'm a bad one to judge him on it.
But you can call Gingrich a lot of things -- condescending, arrogant, mercurial, for example. But if there's one thing he's not, it's sanctimonious.
That he's not is a sign, to me, that his faith and humility to God is every bit as deep as Santorum's, and probably harder attained.
I say, GODSPEED NEWT GINGRICH.
