Im told reliably that Governor Perry will head up a 10th Amendment project for Speaker Gingrich to rally Governors and state legislators toward a plan of devolving power from Washington. This project will include helping shape the Republican platform for the general election.
Governor Perry will also campaign for Speaker Gingrich in Texas.
Hey, it's magic underwear, didn't ya know?
My ten year old son actually wanted Perry to be our next president - until he found out it was RICK Perry who was running, not Perry the Platypus.
Yep, but they wouldn’t have a prayer without the aid of the GOP establishment.
Amen to that, sista.
This also gives Newt extra time to hit some grand slams in tonight’s debate. If he proves that he can keep on doing that, even when under full gutter level assault from the combined forces of the howling hellhounds of the left AND the Romney campaign, Newt wins BIG. There will be nothing left (or very little)that they can throw at him, and we’ll know we have a winner going into the General.
I hope Newt mentions Perry tonight. I also hope he says he’s going to fight for Perry’s issues.
God bless Perry. Hope his endorsement helps. Hope Gingrich’s ex-wife doesn’t “Cain” Gingrich’s chances to death.
It would be a class act to publicly thank Perry tonight, both for his public service and for his endorsement. I hope he does it, too.
Is there a live thread up yet for tonight?
Not yet. You’ll see it over in the sidebar under “Breaking News” when someone starts one. Can’t wait!
Rick Perry really went out with class this morning at his press conference. I was so glad he endorsed Newt. I figured he and Newt must have come to some kind of agrement about a place for Rick going forward. Perry is a real patriot.
I agree. Rush said today that he thought Drudge busted ABC’s little plan to take Gingrich out after SC. Now that its been leaked they have been forced to move the interview up and it won’t be a big suprise later. Like anybody even watches “Nightline”. I thought it went off the air years ago.
Can't find one.
You sure revealed a lot about your character in that post. Snide, spiteful and uncalled for.

I fully agree-I was a Perry supporter and am now fully behind Newt. What Perry did today was put country before himself. I am sad that his campaign ended and that more people didn’t see him as the best guy to go up against Obama, but I also know that for whatever reason, it wasn’t God’s plan for Perry to be the nominee, and the Governor accepted that reality with humility and grace. Thanks for your service Governor! Now GO NEWT!!
I have zero tolerance for anyone who enables, rewards, aids and abets or panders to people entering our country illegally during war time, or any time.
Yes, God Bless this good man for what he did today. I was hoping he wouldn’t have to, and then hoping he’d see that he must. He did. IMO that makes him still the best man in the race.
And this is why I was in for Perry.
Strengthening the 10th Amendment is good. Hopefully Newt will pick up and run with the part time congress ball too, for one reason.
At the moment, the only people who can really take time to become congresscritters are very successful businessmen (or women), Law firm partners (where they still get their cut of the practice fees) or professional politicians. You don’t see many plumbers, doctors or farmers in the House. We have a similar problem over here.
A part time congress would expand the range of people who have the time to carry out congressional duties.
