Look, we’re in open rebellion against this big government RINO crap!! FR is not going to support a statist/abortionist RINO!! Period!!
The GOP RINO establishment can KMA!!
Surrender?
NUTS!!
We are the resistance!!
Rebellion is brewing and those who refuse to stand and fight can rollover for their statist masters elsewhere!!
actually it says a LOT more about her and the “nobility” of journalism to hold this hit piece.
Remember this was already in the can. ABC was holding it rather than releasing it long ago.
OK, but it seems that it could be the first time freepers don’t get to talk about the election in any kind of positive terms. That’s sad.
Parodical is a real word. It's describes something related to parody. Maybe it's even applicable to this situation.
Sounds good.
I’m not trying to change your mind. I’m just curious how you have come to the conclusion that Newt can win a general election.
RE: Are we just not supposed to talk about the Presidential election in anything but negative terms?
There is nothing positive about a Romney nomination. If you think there is then you are on the wrong forum anyways.
No more Rudy McRomneys
Good one! Props to you.
OK. I’ll just wait and see what happens. I hope you can give us some guidelines on what to say if something bad happens.
So that’s a yes?
Newt takes it to Obama. Get out of the way Romney...you can't hold a candle to Newt on Obama

Some of us care a great deal. Personal lives and private character tell a great deal about how someone will act in public life. It's not everything we need to know, but it's important.
Yes, we've had Republicans in public life for many years who have been divorced, but not serial adulterers like Gingrich. Also, we didn't hear stories like this from Ronald Reagan's first wife or Bob Dole's first wife. Dole, for example, went out of his way to always make sure his ex-wife and her new husband were placed at the lead table whenever he went to their county for Republican Party political events. It's one thing to get divorced; it's a very different thing to commit adultery.
Just because Newt Gingrich's ex-wife said these things doesn't mean they're true. And yes, the timing is problematic.
But ask yourself, if you were the ex-wife and had stayed quiet over all these years because your ex-husband was effectively banished from public life after losing the Speakership, is it not quite realistic that you would wait until there was a realistic chance of your ex-husband returning to public life before going public with this stuff?
Newt Gingrich is known for hardball politics. My guess is he has lots of “stuff” on his ex-wife as well. We'll probably be seeing a lot of that.
As I've said many times before, I am extremely unhappy with our entire list of Republican candidates. We've got the best chance in a very long time to take a decisive blow against the Democrats, and we're throwing it away. This stuff should not even have had the chance to come out. Republicans have worked for more than thirty years to make ourselves known as the party of moral values, and now we run the risk of throwing it all away because of sex scandals that are as bad if not worse than what Bill Clinton was doing.
This stuff should have been vetted and dealt with long ago, not two days before South Carolina votes.
Im just wondering what were supposed to say about the election, if Romney does get the nomination?
Were going to need some guide lines from Jim on this.

Well since Romney isn’t the nominee we don’t need to worry about it yet do we?
Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
allowed? Sorry Stew, that really is a ridiculous question, FR is not prison or the USSR. Support him or not, if you do that’s on you.
I’m clinging to Newt as the only one with a chance to beat Obama, but even that will be an uphill battle.
Assuming the GOP candidate goes down to defeat in November, which now looks to be much more likely the case, I think the GOP needs to be blown up, and from the ashes a new party, with a new name takes its’ place. It’s the only way to dislodge the elites, that have run the GOP into the ground, from their base of power.
If Mitt gets the nomination there is nothing positive that CAN be said about this election-not on the POTUS level at least.
As, Jim just said, it’s time to rebel, not roll over.
t’anks a heep. xxxoooxxx.
I’m not counting anything, that’s why I use the word if.
is the timing of the to cause perrys 1% to go to santorum”s 1%?
I think the GOP needs to be blown up, and from the ashes a new party, with a new name takes its place.

Agreed. It would also be ironic if Mittens (the descendent of polygamists) would be the key to the destruction of a party that was founded in part to tear down the ‘twin relics of barbarism - slavery and polygamy.
