The main thing is that newt wanted to run for President and he didn’t make sure, contractually sure, that these ex-wives stayed quiet during the campaign?? That alone says Newt is a bad planner, leader, etc.
Think about it. You’re a famous movie star, with a gorgeous wife. You do well at the box office, but you want to enjoy a nice juicy young male model from time to time. So you send over a little contract and some proffered goodies...

Wait for tomorrow, after Newt’s wife gives her interview on national TV tonite. THEN check out the Google News page, my friend. You will see a radical difference in subject matter. By the way, Marianne Gingrich (wife No. 2 and on TV tonite) has signed with a NY publshing company to do a book on her marriage to Newt which will come out right before the November 2012 elections. Obama will be delighted.
I believe that Santorum is looking at his campaign and I would not be surprised if he is talking with Newt about his next step. I would like to have Santorum stay for the debate (tonight) and then see how things look tomorrow and make a decision. However, I think Newt will win on Saturday. Santorum will stay until Sunday. I think if he got out today it would have been useful, but if he drops out tomorrow I don’t know how much that would change things....although it might. I know that Newt likes Santorum and vice versa so I have ZERO doubt that they are talking.
This is the formula I see. (given the previous admissions of Newt so an appology to the ex is pointless)
1. do nothing mit wins
2. santorum drops out and endorses newt, newt wins.
3. newt drops out and mit wins anyways.
Santorum is just not a winning factor in any real primary race. remember iowa is a joke caucus system that ultimatly just goes with the person with the most votes.

Jane was from a different time when this would be considered classless. Plus, I think they were friendly and the divorce was relatively easy. Heck Jane went to Ronny’s funeral....not front row but she was there.

I disagree. I understand Newt has made his apologies over the years a number of times.
One thing that troubles me is that Marianne was the other woman when Newt was married to his first wife. That was ok with her. Then another woman became the other woman and that was not ok with her.
Too bad Newt wasn’t King David from the bible. He could have just married all of them.

I feel sorry for the people on the right so invested in Newt. But he’s not a good person. He’s not a leader. He is only smart with a lot of knowledge. And his wife was a sleazy mistress for YEARS with zero respect for marriage.

I am actually going to go further. Nancy, Jane and President Reagan are good people and have class. Remember Jane was on a “hit” TV show “Falcon Crest” during Reagan’s Presidency and could have shout from the rooftop anything she wanted as she was on Johny Carson and whatever talk shows of that time. She didn’t say a peep. Wouldn’t be surprised if she voted for him twice.

For most of the electorate the presidential choice is based on a vague feeling of warm fuzzies or a personal bond, not on issues.
Do you think Reagan won in 1980 because people liked his proposed policies? Hardly.
