I think a lot will depend on how this ‘dog’ as you call her comes across in an interview.
If she seems likeable and credible, she can do Newt a lot of harm.
If she seems like a mean, crazy shrew, maybe not so much.

Bottom line - it’s despicable of Drudge to attack Newt on lifestyle issues when Matt is harboring his own. I’m so sick of homosexual activists lashing out against Newt because he speaks the truth. Not fair to call her Bitter Betty. She helped newt get their some 20 year marriage annulled. After he confessed to her that he had already asked his mistress to marry him. She couldn’t have been that bitter.

My bride would agree with you. She is my 3rd wife and she has been my bride for over 40 wonderful years. We brought 2 children into this world and we now have 8 grandchildren.

By general public, I meant people who are not on Free Republic, people just out in the real world who are not wonks like we are.
I’m saying we’ve yet to see whether this will generate sympathy or scepticism about Newt.
I’m sure he’ll get the vote of all the guys with bitter ex-wives.
