Frank Lunz was on the FOX Post Debate Analysis last night after South Carolina Debate. He made the statement that in 16 years of following Debates, that was the first time he'd ever seen a candidate get a Standing Ovation. Newt did not just get a Standing "O" from his supporters but, by-and-large from the entire crowd when he defended his comment about Barack Obama being the "Food Stamp President" and his stance on young Blacks needing a work ethic rather than government assistance.
Newt didn't just "knock it out of the park" once last night. He "knocked it out of the park" several times. I'm telling you; when the dust settles, if the two major Party nominees are Newt and Obama, Newt will mop the floor with the Marxist in Chief. And, refute this if you want, but most Americans, especially those who are not political junkies and are not tremendously informed, make up their mind as to whom they will vote for by watching the Debates. I've observed this since 1960. The Debates are the tipping points in the elections. Therefore, I submit that Mitt Romney is NOT the most electable Pubbie running. Newt Gingrich is the one who can defeat Barack Obama.

We will have to fight until Nov. 6th.
After that, it is well nigh time to radically change the party or replace it.
Newt has a “PLAN” in place if Obozo won’t debate him. He will follow him to every campaign stop and refute his “speech”. And then... on to the next campaign stop.
He doesn’t need Rick Perry to carry Texas. We are dyed-in-the-wool Conservatives down here. Obozo WILL carry Connecticut. You might be right about the ohter States. I pray that you are.
Let’s hope Newt keeps it up.

According to Frank Lunz....NO!!! Those people were not giving Perry a standing “O”. They were leaving to keep from having to watch him continue to embarrass himself.

There are threats and evil wishes on FR these days... in both private FReepmail and in open forum. We are ripping ourselves into pieces and FR today resembles the DU far more than the intelligent Conservative thinkers that I KNOW that are out there. At the least... I must leave this place for awhile. I really do not want to leave but I think that FR needs a break from me and I need a break from FR. I love many people here... as if they were part of my biological family. We will remain lifelong friends regardless of these evil times that we are living through. Hopefully I can find my way back.
GOD bless you and all of my brother and sister FReepers. Never have their been more good people in one place at one time in the history of the world. I hope that this community can find a way to keep the few bad apples from spoiling the entire barrel.

I knew that, don’t know why I typed “Ron.” Probably the same reason I always call Obama .... O’Bummer. I tend to block out the names of people I consider meaningless.. Now, If I could only remember my own name!... Was going to say my wife’s name but..... that would be as bad as calling her by my ex’s name.... again!
