I'm a retired newspaper person - except for my long running column - but I spent years in advertising too. I get so frustrated when the net, especially YouTube, provide so much fodder to use against RomBot.
As to the secrecy issue: Why not a 30 sec ad with the questions - “Why won't Romney disclose his tax records?”
“Why did he spend $100,000 to bury his official records as governor?”
“What does Romney not want you to know?”
and then show videos of his burying his official records as Governor - and refusing to disclose his tax returns.

I think Mitt is the new and improved version of McCain - a reach across the isle, compromise, liberal Repub. If he gets the nomination, I predict Obama wins the election. The backlash against the GOP Establishment by the Tea Party will be terrible. The GOP will likely loose Congress (AGAIN) in 2014.

I would have to include Santorum in that mix. But your assessment of Newt is correct. If Newt is the GOP candidate, Obama wins. But I see Santorum putting Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida in the GOP column. The GOP does not need yet another Bob Dole type candidate.

Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin are the only people who would really shake things up in Washington D.C. Sarah is not running. What a double team em' combo they would be! South Carolina and Florida - Hear the Call!
Well, I’ve done some researching on Gingrich since November and have changed my mind. His accomplishments as congressman and speaker are very real and very conservative. His actual record of conservative accomplishments in office far outweigh some of the dumber stuff he’s said and done since leaving office, ie, the Pelosi thing for example. And he’s admitted they were dumb ideas.I’ve studied the goals he’s laid out on his website (lower taxes for example: http://www.newt.org/news/lets-bump-plans-comparison-gingrich-and-romneys-tax-plans ) and believe he’s after the same radical cutting of government that we the tea party people are looking for.
He’s a veteran of the Reagan Revolution of the 80’s and leader of the successful Republican Revolution of the 90’s and believe he can be the successful leader of the Tea Party Revolution now. He wants to drastically reduce taxes, reduce government, privatize social security and medicare, neuter the fed and the epa and close down or return as much of the unconstitutional federal government programs to the states and people as possible. And that also includes immediately repealing ObamaCare, repealing Dodd-Frank, repealing Sarbanes-Oxley, firing of all Obama’s czars and dismantling his Marxist government also directly challenging the activist judiciary.
Romney simply wants to trim around the edges and rearrange the deck chairs and there’s no way in hell that he will fight the judiciary or the libs or for our conservative causes. RomneyCare = ObamaCare. Romney appoints liberal judges and has a record of rolling over for them.
I also like Perry. He has warts, but they all do. Unfortunately, Perry shot himself in the foot and never recovered.
Santorum is a good conservative, but I just like Gingrich’s more radical ideas for cutting government better and the fact that he’s been a successful revolutionary leader before.
Gingrich led the effort to take control of the congress after the democrats had held it for forty years and then as speaker cut taxes, cut spending, cut government, blocked Clinton’s socialized healthcare attempt, reduced unemployment, cut the deficit and balanced the federal budget four years running. We could use some of this radical talent right now!!

You might want to watch and listen as Newt answers specific questions from South Carolina congressional representatives who now work in our Congress. Newt is the ONLY candidate who cn articulate the way it will need to be done in order to counter the half a billion dollar lie campaign the democrat machine is about to launch at whomever is the pubby nominee: http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/303686-1.
FINALLY Newt gets away from that stupid DNC-worthy Bain “documentary”, and onto the KEY ISSUES Mittens on which is vulnerable. Unfortunately it is likely far too late, as Gingrich has collapsed in the polls in SC and FL.
Did you see how hateful Willard the Liberal answered the question on parental notification. He acted mad. This man is a loose cannon. It looked like his head was about to spin around on it’s shoulders.
