Single dad trying to take back home from Occupy Wall Street protesters
Fox News ^ | 1/15/2012 | NY Post

They’re occupying his home.

Occupy Wall Street protesters announced with great fanfare last month that they moved a homeless family into a “foreclosed” Brooklyn, N.Y., home — even though they knew the house belonged to a struggling single father desperately trying to renegotiate his mortgage, The Post has learned.

“They’re trying to take a house and say the bank is robbing the people because the mortgage is too high — so contact the owner!” fumed Wise Ahadzi, 28, who owns the home at 702 Vermont St. in East New York.

Occupiers “reclaimed” the row house on Dec. 6 and ceremoniously put out the welcome mat for a homeless family.

But Bank of America, which has been in and out of foreclosure proceedings against Ahadzi since 2009, confirmed to The Post that he is still the rightful owner.

Meanwhile, the family that OWS claimed to be putting into the vacant house has not yet permanently moved in. And it turns out the family is not a random victim of the foreclosure crisis, but cast for the part, thanks to their connection to the OWS movement.

I had a squatter move into my Calif house ... (it was empty pending remodel) ... without permission. It cost me $4,000 and took two months to get her fat freeloading a$$ out of there. The sheriff literally had to physically toss her out along with 5-6 teenagers and her pit bull. The house was trashed and cost me an additional $10,000 to repair.

Thank god I live in Texas where I have the right to evict trespassers using my second amendment rights.

$4000? Was there any chance of just getting a couple of goons together and tossing them out yourself? Much cheaper, LOL.

Turn off all utilities and line up a fumigation service. They’ll move.

Though I did have an offer from someone VERY qualified (former professional TV wrestler) to do exactly that ... The squatter would have ended up owning the house via the lawsuit ... this was is Kalifornia where deadbeat squatters have far more rights that property owners

Reminds me of the scene from Dr.Zhivago when Yuri Zhivago returns home to find his home taken over by the Bolsheviks.

Could you hear it now. Ron Paul would be screaming at the top of his lungs how unconstitutional it was to force these squatters out. The squatters have a right to take over anybody's property they want. No where in the Constitution Specifically states that the state has the right to remove squatters from a property owners land.

You kidding me? I pass by every Home Depot in L.A. and you could have hired the amigos/ese’s for a sandwich and coke each and they would have kicked them out for less than that amount.

Ron Paul is the national spokesperson for the lazy and greedy in society.

Laws? I don’t need no stinkin’ LAWS or Constitution.

Where I live, if you did that, even to squatters, it would be considered “retaliation”. Then, you’d have an even harder time evicting them, and they would have grounds to sue you for damages.

So the trust fund children of the elite, bipartisan, government-business regulators can now evict poorer homeowners without any proceedings at all. They don’t even need their “sustainable development” “smart growth” or “open space” excuses.
