Just goes to show, there’s not much new with politicians. They should bring back legal duels between government employees.

I can’t remember quite that far back.

The culmination of those election cycles was a duel by Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr

Barry V. Perry, ARs at 100 yards.

Socialism almost seems unstoppable, particularly when you consider how corrupted the so-called “Free Press” has become as an advocacy apparatus of the Left.

I will fight on but one has to consider just what would have to happen to curtail the Left and their march to Socialism in America.

If Obama and his compatriots get there way, every business, man, woman and child will have to bow their head and kiss a ring to get anything done.

And how is that different from fascism?

This is a very revealing article. He describes the Chicago political machine and its factions but it is a description of the workings of the Democrat party as well.

I prefer to believe many Dems are parasites more than they are radical socialists. Jesse Jackson for example. He plays the race and “social justice” card just enough to get his share. I doubt he wants to destroy the economic system that has made him rich beyond his wildest dreams. And then there’s Barack and Michelle Obama who really do believe transforming the U.S. into a quasi-Scandinavian/socialist model will bring wonders to all Americans.

Both Hamilton and Jefferson manipulated the press of that time to scandalize the other side. Character assassination is a mild phrase to use when describing the vitriol that went back and forth.

IMO, Hamilton truly was an enemy of limited government.

Great article. Just great. And the ideas apply to the art world as well, which is scary. But I wonder how Town Hall published a piece that referred to the Clintons (as in them, plural) as the Clinton’s, singular possessive.

Wasn’t Saul Alinsky also from Chicago? This kind of “belief” is a religion to these people, they are spreading this cancer throughout the schools, the universities for sure and K-12 may be lost also. I don’t know if we can stop this because they will do anything to get their way. Just like every other Marxist/Communist leader.

Good and completely accurate article. I've never heard of Jeff Carter before, though.

Please bring this typo to his attention If Obama and his compatriots get there way

I personally believe that if Obama loses a close or extremely close election, the dimocrat/socialist/liberal/homosexual/commies will come out of the woodwork to prevent him from leaving office. I think they will go to the courts, file hundreds of suits about voter fraud (but forget they run 99% of the voting booths), lie, cheat, steal, threaten, assault, do anything and everything they can to keep him in office. I think we could actually be looking at a potential of him declaring martial law. Martial law is described as:

Martial law is the imposition of military rule by military authorities over designated regions on an emergency basis—(usually) only temporary—when the civilian government or civilian authorities fail to function effectively (e.g., maintain order and security, and provide essential services), when there are extensive riots and protests, or when the disobedience of the law becomes widespread. In most cases, military forces are deployed to quiet the crowds, to secure government buildings and key or sensitive locations, and to maintain order.

Generally, military personnel replace civil authorities (this won't happen here. Obama will continue to assume all authority) and perform some or all of their functions. In full-scale martial law, the highest-ranking military officer would take over, or be installed, as the military governor or as head of the government, thus removing all power from the previous executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government.

Martial law can be used by governments to enforce their rule over the public. Such incidents may occur after a coup d'état (Thailand 2006); when threatened by popular protest (China, Tiananmen Square protests of 1989); to suppress political opposition (Poland in 1981); to stabilize insurrections or perceived insurrections (Canada, The October Crisis of 1970). Martial law may be declared in cases of major natural disasters, however most countries use a different legal construct, such as a "state of emergency".

I can see something like this happening. The commie/muslin/homosexual machine will do everything and everything to keep him in office. The republican nominee cannot win a close election. He HAS to win by several percentage points or we will have a war in America. They simply are not going to give up this chance of a life time in taking all total control.

So it’s going to get ugly.

It’s going to get ugly because the Democrats, the media, and Barack Obama did not heed the lesson that the 2010 elections should have taught them.

Obama’s strategy is to be seen as “fighting” for the “little guy”, the “unfortunate”. This will only serve to maintain his base and alienate everyone else. It is not in an American’s nature to consider himself a “little guy” or “unfortunate”, even among those who could rightly make that claim.

The media doesn’t realize they no longer have the power to persuade. This was demonstrably proven in 2010 when they shilled for every Dem running and were shellacked.

Obama’s the only one in the room who doesn’t realize his speeches have lost the power they once had. Everyone around him is afraid to tell him to shut up. They just leave, like Daley.

So Obama’s going to attempt to convince us what he’s done has been good for us, as he promises more of the same. Won’t work.

The country’s in a foul, foul mood. The lines have been clearly drawn. The private sector is Obama’s declared enemy, and it is still numerically superior to those who have been bought and paid for. 2010 proved this, and this is what the lefties are missing.

They will give Obama the hook in 2012.

There is a part of Chicago politics that is really well known. However, it’s unspoken because of fear. The fear of being branded a racist when you are merely saying something everyone knows but social constraints make it taboo.

There will be resurgence of racism in America and it will be the fault of Obama and the Democrats.
