That’s pretty spot-on. I think corporate was selling it to larger places like Whole Foods, etc, which made it look like Dublin Dr. Pepper was an even bigger violator than it was. Thing is, when corporate moved on to fructose all those years ago and Dublin did not, Dublin DP gained popularity over the years until, eventually, corporate felt the need to do something about it, reinforcing the ‘eeevil corporation’ mantra so many or buying into.

Make my soda a Hosmer Mountain, please. It comes in glass bottles and it is sold only in CT, RI,MA, and NY. Their root beer is the best.

“Are you sure you’re a real Texan?”

Just cause yew’s a’liven in Texas don’t necesarly make Yu’n a Texican.

By the by, no more Dr. Pepper nor Snapple for me. This stunt by the yankees running that show is just to much for me.

Hugs to you. I’m near Waco, the home of Dr Pepper. This is the death of a Texas tradition and icon. Way to go Dr Pepper-
Snapple, they should be ashamed. Seriously, how much could it cost them to leave it alone? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Waco (actually Reisal, Perry and Mart) is where I drank many a Dr. Pepper with my cousins quite a few decades ago. Wonderful memories.
