Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin challenged GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney to furnish his tax return and supporting documents that would prove he created the 100,000 jobs he claimed he did while CEO of Bain Capital.
"Governor Romney has claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain and people are wanting to know is there proof of that claim and was it U.S. jobs created for United States citizens?" Palin told Fox News Sean Hannity.
Palin said that transparency was needed as Romney would likely be targeted by Democrats on this issue if he were to become the Republican nominee.

It seems to me that Romney and his friends at Bain were much more interested in making money than in making products, more than just jobs,to be sold. I muse on remarks from all the politicians who scream about jobs but don’t spell out what products will be made that can be/will be bought by USA citizens as well as people in other countries. This Nation lost It’s physical economy/means of production because of the environmental dictates and the lack of interest and appreciation for this Nation’s past history.
I think there is a concerted effort to distort, and there’s a sizable bunch on this forum, probably as much as 40%, who are now attacking Newt ( and Perry), for even bringing the matter up.
good investigative journalism is lacking here. For example, true or false were the Staples, Sports Authority etc at the beginning of Romney’s tennure there? Then the vulture capitalism come later?
Ah, thanks for your report. I guess I didn’t miss all that much.
Oh, that’s absolutely excellent, Diogenesis!!!
BAIN & THE 911 VICTORY MOSQUE!

Leveraged buyouts are too complicated to fit into a sound bite, and the documentation to prove is claim will not be easy to do either.
I am interested in how well his knowledge of private enterprise was able to be translated into jobs when he was Governor. Has he made any claims with respect to his record in Massachusetts with job creation? I read a few days ago that is was less than stellar, but haven’t seen any articles.
Chilling and right to the point.
Hi! I tried to watch Larry’s show, however it was too gorey for lil ol’ me at times (moose slaughtering), so I changed the channel. Then got a phone call, and forgot to switch channel back for the parts with Sarah, Todd and Mr.Heath.
They probably will rerun it next Wednesday at 7 central which is the hour before the newest “Only In America with Larry the Cable Guy” is on at 8pm central Wednesdays on The History Channel (#120 on Dish Network).
He’s scum.
But SO electable! /s
Why are you here on FreeRepublic?
Because it's the premiere pro-God, pro-Constitution, pro-gun, pro-freedom, pro-capitalism, anti-statist, anti-homosexual-agenda Conservative forum on the 'Net.
Why are you here?
I get what you're saying: you don't think I belong. Wrong. Dozens of FReepers agree with me that Palin chickened out.
Palin sees things very clearly. She knows that if Mitt is the nominee, the DNC and the MSM will use the “100,000 jobs created”, his refusal to release his returns, AND the destruction of his records as MA governor, as a hammer. She knows that it’s important for Mitt to get out in front of this. During the primaries is the best time. If the “100,000 jobs created” can’t withstand scrutiny, let’s get it out and out of the way. If their are concrete examples of Bain looting companies, we better know it now, instead of after we’re stuck with him as our candidate.
I don’t think she much cares for Mitt, but I’m absolutely sure that she will support him if he’s the nominee.
To Palin, Bain is fair game in the primary because it will certainly be a big part of O’Bummer’s campaign, including how the media will use it against Mitt.
For those of you suggesting that if Mitt’s “Bain problem” isn’t addressed by the other candidates, the DNC and the MSM won’t address it, you are just plain foolish. In Palin’s words, you’re numbskulls.
Yikes! Sounds a little too gory for me. I might set TIVO to record for next Wednesday...lol.
WRONG.
Only PDSers think "she chickened out."
Sarah Palin referencing Todd Palin’s endorsement of Newt:
“The first dude went ROGUE!”
Newt shouldn’t expect any endorsements from Sarah anytime soon.
Really? The only ones I ever saw with that ridiculous position were terminal PDS sufferers.
Engineers deal in facts. And the facts are that Palin never chickened out on anything. And she doesn't cry like John Boehner either.
LOL Boom!!! You funny, Joe.
