(CNN) John Bolton, the former U.S. permanent representative to the United Nations, is set to endorse presidential candidate Mitt Romney, a source close to Romneys presidential campaign said Wednesday.
Bolton served in the administrations of former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush before former President George W. Bush appointed him the U.N. role.

I am stunned speechless.
Then
Where should we seek change my FRiend?
NO cheers, unfortunately.
The GOP machine has drug us along every election, throwing a few bones here and there.
Personally, the last time I rebelled was Perot in ‘92. Thought I should never do it again.
But, the Dems have streaked to the left and the GOP has steadily drifted left, maybe more on the fiscal front than the social but a steady drift it has been.
Frogs we are, in a boiling pot.
There is an option, but it’s like calling an airstrike in on your position....
What a friggin’ disappointment!
Hey my FRiend
What would you suggest?
Which is why I think Paul is being very much underestimated. Newt can hurt Romney but I don't see him helping himself. Perry is done. Huntsman is done. That leaves Santorum or Paul as the anti Romney. Not sure how that plays out but I'd give the edge to Paul, since Paul has a national organization and has great appeal to independents.
Things are getting interesting, N.C. is going to be huge.
” If our side had consolidated into one candidate Romney would be in big trouble. “<<<
” The problem is none of the alternatives really stand out against the others, they all have tremendous flaws, while they do have good points as well. “ <<<
What does it matter, really? The single message heard loud and clear is that 65% of the Republicans, at minimum, DO NOT WANT the Cram Down candidate. We have been rebelling and because of it we havre been sold a crock of idle threats that a two caucus states, with open primaries, and with enemies voting in the mix, seals the nomination and closes the nomination process? What a crock. Altogether, their are what, 13 lousy delegates? Laughable.
Rebel on!
I’m really surprised at this. I know Perry had mentioned Bolton for Secretary of State if he won, and I thought Bolton and Perry were close, but guess not.
Or Bolton is going with who he thinks will be the winner and angling for a job.
Me !
I'm a proud f'n DINOSAUR ! !
You really are a conspiracy nut. Perry with a secret deal with Romney?
Lol, yeah never thought of it that way before but you are right. Paul is sticking it to the establishment GOP. Nice insight.
Well, what’s your idea?
I can deal with the consequences of danger close.
You don't think Perry's hurting Romney by staying in, do you?
Romney's loving this and thanking Perry for his support (whether it be intentional or not).
” There is an option, but its like calling an airstrike in on your position.... “ <<<<
Got it. That’s what I believe. Use Paul against them, like they in their sheer panic are ATTEMPTING to do to us.
The Establishment would prefer Obama to Paul because they would be banished by Paul. Because of that, maybe, just maybe they would spend the next 11 months getting on board with us, rather than run us over.
Hold the line.
Sad news...but could it be because he works for Faux?
Could it be because he is a Fox News analyst? well, Newt has Cmdr Steele of Black Hawk Down on his side
” The problem is Palin folded. “
Oh, phooey. Get over it already!
This was coming since the last election, but for November, 2010! THAT alone was the 911 for the Republican ESTABLISHMENT who orchestrated this chaos! We either fold like Sarah, or we HOLD THE LINE.
Well, just today Newt expressed that crock.
As Gingrich has pointed out, if the non-Romney forces could coalesce behind a single candidate, Romney would be trailing in this race. But Republican voters cant seem to solve this coordination problem, and the non-Romney candidates are suffering from a collective action dilemma; all would benefit by having one of the remaining three.
