I seem to recall 10,000 posts for one of the presidential debates in 2008.

The lack of posts here tonight makes me wonder if our people are demoralized

The New Hampshire result was expected and the state and its open drive-in-from-Mass primary is not representative. For example Romney+Paul+Huntsman=79% (!!). New Hampshire is irrelevant.

The lack of posts here tonight makes me wonder if our people are demoralized and expected pretty much the miserable results we are viewing.

Yes and yes but I also think we're discouraged over the choices.

I read in another article here tonight " Newt Gingrich is a veteran bomb thrower. And the kamikaze Gingrich plane is headed for the S.S. Romney full throttle" which I thought was an excellent discription. I also think it points out that Newt is on a suicide mission.

So who's left? I love Santorum or Perry but do either have a real shot? I'm hoping someone can say something to cheer me up soon.

Congratulations Mitt Romney on a prevailing showing and victory in the N.H. primary!

And congratulations too, to the second place Ron Paul and third place Jon Huntsman. Ron Paul’s speech tonight after the results, well it was very impressive and we could definitely hear that spark and fight in his voice! I did enjoy his delivery. And I loved Huntsman’s attitude, I am very impressed with his showing and his demeanor. I also was very, very impressed with Mitt Romney’s speech tonight after his tremendous victory. I don’t care if you understand my background at all, but having participated back when Reagan ran (both during the lean years and his eventual victory), the content and character of Romney’s delivery tonight so much reminded me of Reagan, I was very happy with his message indeed!

You know, there is a saying, and I AGREE WITH ROMNEY, that:

“Winners inspire ambition, losers foment envy.”

Without sounding too harsh, it is my understanding that Newt Gingrich has been using the politics of envy, leftist propaganda methods of counter-point, to attack Romney. As a Reagan Republican, I don’t like the tone and message of Newt Gingrich at this juncture, he has failed in his message from this point on. I am not interested in the politics of envy, we get enough of that from Obama. I am very, very – should I say disappointed? I guess I can say that the message of Gingrich in N.H. only put in my mind the conception that Newt is just a cantankerous old bug-a-boo with a rather uncouth and pesky old rancorous fart that is typical of an old man scorned of his bunny girl. Like the loser staring at a bruise on his knee and would rather see his friend in the Rugby game who gave him the bruise be destroyed rather than the bully who stole his lunch bag go to the supervisor for his just desserts.

There is another saying:

“Employing the authority of the past to flatter the vanity of the present” – so Mr. Gingrich, with all due respect, the next time you make speech about Reagan, ask yourself this …. Would Reagan have said some of the things you have said recently?

I doubt it. And while I don’t really have a big problem with Newt, and while I will admit that I am an old cantankerous old fart myself (though I have my bunny, for I was not scorned) – I can tell you right now, if Newt gets the nomination we (Republicans and conservatives) are THROUGH, and the reason is from talking and hearing from the gals and girls and ladies.

The gals are NOT going to vote for Newt. Too many think he is some sort of scoundrel in regards to his dealing with the females and in particular with his wife, or wives, or whatever – I really don’t know the details nor do I care, nor do I hold ANYTHING of these personal matters against Gingrich. What was done, I don’t even care about it, and that is why in part I don’t even know the details because I am not interested.

All I know is, the gals aren’t going to vote for him for whatever their strange reasons are, and I don’t want to lose this election to four more years of Obama. Period.

Yes.

The low "poster turnout" tonight right here on FR shows demoralization and just plain fedup-ness with the System (both Party and Media). Somebody like Palin should really take this into consideration and offer a clear cut anti-Romney endorsement and I mean like yesterday. Any uncommitted Conservative GOP Congressmen should also be smoked out. Does anyone know for example if Cong. Allen West has offered an endorsement?

If a true Conservative were running away with this NH race, we would be into maybe the 3,000 level of posts right now, with champagne cork popping graphics, taunting of Obongo and Biden, statements of intent to contribute to candidate(s), and all kinds of comments, both detailed and short/ebullient.

This is why we need a National Primary Day.

Why do liberals in New Hampshire get to decide who is our nominee?

I'm with either Newt or Santorum at this point. But guess what I'm in Illinois and I don't get to vote until March!!!

I hope the Admins don't delete this but I sadly presume we are going to have a repeat of 2008 and instead of McLame we are going to get Romney as our nominee.

So you get to vote for a communist vs. a communist....

I pray and will pray endlessly that Newt or Rick can pull out victories in SC and FL.

Not that many people excited about the 12 delegates from the liberal state of New Hampshire that was next door to the candidate with the most money.

Makes me think that New Hampshire is a welfare state.

Puts a whole new meaning on "live free or die," doesn't it...

Would have. But this is NH, and the Huntsman and Paul vote pretty much is the lightening rod for the liberal and libertarian vote, so what you see is the Romney base. It should be alot more impressive for NH. No Big Mo here.

Newt Gingrich is a Statesman. Newt is the one that has consistently been called on to defend other Conservatives for several past elections because of his persuasive intellect and unabashed winning confrontations with the Liberal Media.

Prior to his defense of Conservatism for the past decade in the media, Newt changed government for the better from a Conservative perspective.

Newt is a veteran Statesman. He is a historian who know George Washing, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln inside and out. He earned is PhD at the age of 28 years old. He has accomplished a great amount for Conservatism over the past several decades and the RINO’s can’t handle that he is more knowledgeable then them.

So far 62% of the NH voters, very liberal NH voters, where Mitt Romney has one of his 10 homes CAN’T STAND HIM!
