But what is he fighting for? In 07 he says cap and trade is good, in 08 he appears in a Al Gore ad, now he’s against cap and trade and says appearing in the ad was dumb. Which of those is the “real” Newt, which time did he say what he means?

My bet is neither. He’s just saying what he thinks will get him the support he needs. Just like his marriage oaths, they’re goal oriented, not truth oriented. Don’t believe people that have a history of lies and oath breaking. he’s fighting for him, not us, not the country. That’s how philanders work, they’re self serving.

I think all of us on this forum agree that all the candidates are flawed in some way, (unless you read Ann Coulter who says they’re all flawed except Romney.)

Therefore, I’m going with the person who shows me, as a country, where we’ve been and what we should become

I listened to Trump yesterday. I have no doubt that he would be a strong president. HIs personal life was a mess, maybe still is. Would I vote for him over Obama, of course, but only Newt in my mind teaches me something everytime he speaks.
