I think all of us on this forum agree that all the candidates are flawed in some way, (unless you read Ann Coulter who says they’re all flawed except Romney.)

Therefore, I’m going with the person who shows me, as a country, where we’ve been and what we should become

I listened to Trump yesterday. I have no doubt that he would be a strong president. HIs personal life was a mess, maybe still is. Would I vote for him over Obama, of course, but only Newt in my mind teaches me something everytime he speaks.

I have more trouble believing Trump than Newt. Too much of a celebrity, too much talking without ever actually putting anything real on paper. Too many times he’s started talking politics right before a season of his show started. Which is why I doubt he’ll ever run, running would distract from how he makes money.

Newts says a lot of interesting and smart stuff. I’m just not convinced he believes a word he says. If I had any confidence that he actually believed more than half of what he says I’d vote for him in a cold second. But his history is one of his actions being at odds with his words.
