"I'll admit that I'm a bit fuzzy on the man's record, though I do know it to be admirable"

Santorun was a leader in the Senate in helping Bush get his "Compassionate Conservative" agenda passed. Without Santorum there might not be free prescription drugs for the elderly. And let's not forget how Santorum help children with the federal take over of education with "No child left behind" I could continue to list the many accomplishments of Santorum but the pressure cooker is making noise, so I will leave you with Arlan Spector that great conservative that Santorum helped to reelect to the Senate of the USA.

Arlen was the final vote to pass ObamCare...IIRC.

It really would be nice for some people here to refresh their memories on Santorum. It was no mistake that he lost his last election by 18%.

I don't like that he owns a home and lives in VA but still claims PA as his residence...and took money from the PA school district to school his children who lived in VA. He was sued by the PA school district! IMO, that is a typical politician!

Santorum is better than Mitt.

Well, that was damning. Why do so many around here continue to tout Santorum as a great conservative, if what you say is true?

Honest question (I plead ignorance on his Senate record).
