-——We’re going to call her Brooke because that really is her name.-——

I thought perhaps she was really a southern girl named Creeke

I believe the technical terms for the mentioned surgeries as “addadictomy” and “choppadicophamy”. I may have spelled them incorrectly.

Young people just want to draw attention and tattoos give them something to show off.

I can't wait until the wooden plate in the lower lip catches on.

Genital mutilation means gender reassignment - sex change.

I believe he is referring to “sex change” surgery.

Chief Justice of the United States. College students - especially in Criminal Justice, which is Dr. Adams’ field - ought to be able to name the occupant of the position, but if they were simply offered the name with no context, I can see why a lot of people would say, “Who?”

The author expressed my feeling very well.

He didn’t say much about piercings, but they are becoming more and more prevalent.

Rings in the nipples and Navel and even in the Vagina and penis. Absolutely sickening.

A yung man I know started getting tattoos when he was about 16, then came piercings, Tattos on the face and piercings made him looklike a freak.

Now he wonders why no one will hire him. Because he looks like a freak——Duh.

My young niece is filled with tattoos, a beautiful girl has 10 years in the Air Force, and looks like a freak out of uniform. The uniform covers the tattoos.

I thought the reference was to vaginal plastic surgery for cosmetic effect

Handsome young fellow works in our local dry cleaning shop. By that I mean Hollywood handsome. Looked like a young, clean cut Warren Beatty. Women would come in, and couldn't take their eyes off him. He started getting arm tattoos. Then on his neck. Then, he went full on tribal with piercings, and oversize ear rings that expanded his earlobes to nearly 3 inches. Followed by strange hair cuts and colorings. The downward spiral progressed month by month. It was disturbing to witness. I've always thought there was something deeply wrong with people like that. They seemed to be, in a word, "lost." At least that's what I felt when looking into their eyes.

Er, I was playfully kidding Rummyfan.

A tattoo says, “Stupid & immature”.

It used to be a means to convey a personal accomplishment of significance, or a remembrance of some one close.

Multiple tattoos say, “Avoid contact with me if at all possible”.

A friend of mine in the psychiatric field said that More than 5 tats was the sign of a sociopathic personality.

He should’ve asked them how many voted for Obama. Probably most of them that even bothered to vote.

I don’t think so. Note the references to “sexual confusion” and “diversity.”

Watch out, you are in delicate territory here. Tatooed folks fiercely defend the practice for whatever reason that I suppose is somehow knowing that the original decision to get inked was not the best. Defending shame or something like it. I once commented online that it was refreshing to see my alma mater’s football team pretty much bereft of tatoos and received a ton of criticism for my self-righteousness. I am a college teacher as well, but never brave enough to express my disgust with a lack of civic knowledge by going after what appears (unfortunately) to be a questionable fascination of the young and foolish.
