The NAACP on Wednesday blasted Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum for recently singling out blacks for receiving federal benefits, calling his remarks "inaccurate and outrageous."
At a campaign stop in Sioux City, Iowa on Sunday, Santorum was talking about entitlement reform when he said, "I don't want to make black people's lives better by giving them somebody else's money; I want to give them the opportunity to go out and earn the money."
NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous said in a statement Wednesday that "Santorum's targeting of African Americans is inaccurate and outrageous, and lifts up old race-based stereotypes about public assistance."

The problem is that we have been afraid to name names. Who do you think, for example, commits the majority of violent crime in NYC (at a rate nearly 3 times its percentage of the population)?

This is why they wanted Cain out so bad, because this is one of only two or three cards they have this year, and they would have been denied that one right off. And yet so many were hot to trot to run Cain off from the campaign trail, including so called conservatives here who thought it would not start on their own candidate(s).
Rove just repeated the lie that Santorum said the word “black” on O’Reilly a few mins ago. Rove said he can sometimes be offputting and judgmental. He said “give him his few moments of glory. He worked hard for this.”
You could totally see Rove’s agenda in his dismissal of Santorums near win on BOR. Levin called this creep out tonight for the failure he is. Where was Rove predicting the Santorum surge if he is such a genius? Rove is not only stupid, he is a hack.

Santorum was just on O’Really on Faux and Bill aksed hom about the statement and he told Bill he did not say “blacks” and Bill admitted that he watched it and YES, Santorum did NOT say “blacks”.

They are not attacking Paul or Romney or even Perry..even Gingrich isn’t being hammered as hard as Santorum.

I know that the libel/slander laws are notoriously difficult for public figures (like Santorum) to prevail on, but if ever there was a case of "actual malice" it seems like this would be it on CBS' part.
