Congratulations, Rick Santorum!!
Jan 3, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 01/03/2012 10:03:52 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Too early to know if he's going to be first or second in Iowa, but either way he deserves our congratulations!! He gives us hope that a decent, consistent, pro-life, pro-family, Christian conservative patriot can win this primary race and then go on to defeat Obama! Congratulations also to Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann. You have all fought a great battle to this point.

We can be encouraged that over 50% of the Iowa electorate have totally rejected both the flip-flopping abortionist/socialist Mitt Romney and the deranged Ron Paul.

Will be interesting to see if this trend continues on through New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida. I think by then we'll be able to clearly identify which pro-life conservative we should coalesce behind to defeat Romney!

Good luck in the race ahead. May the very best pro-life, pro-family, small government, big defense conservative be our candidate! Will be wonderful to have a candidate we can enthusiastically support for a change.

Game on!!

>> Perry and Michele need to get out and endorse Wednesday! <<

Even Perry managed to win 2 counties while he's been treated as a national joke over the last few months and languished in 5th place. "Front runner" Newt Gingrich won a big, fat, 0 counties. His campaign serves no other purpose aside from splitting the anti-Romney vote.

I would say:
#1: Defeat Romney.
#2: Defeat Obama.

This is great news! Don't let the 'truth sheets'(what I call our media) rip this one up!

Great speech he gave tonight.

He is a humble and thus great man. Imagine having a person like that as President of the US?

Imagine having the grandson of a coal miner and the wife of a fisherman teamed up in the highest office of this land.

All the GOP critics will come out of the woodwork tomorrow and attack him on issues like earmarks and Arlen Specter and his PA senate loss, and many among us will eat yet another one of our own- God help us.

What did you think of romneys speech? I agree that santorums speech was very engaging and from the heart.

“Why would you ever consider voting for Romney. It’s unprincipled, selfish people like him that got us into this mess with Obama.”

Because of the steady drumbeat from all of the ward heelers that “a vote against Romney is a vote for Obama”. Liars and whores, each and every one of them, but they beat good conservatives with the guilt trip 24/7/365. It wears people down, and they lose heart.

This is a good day. Crush Romney, defy the machine.

I have not been a supporter of Rick Santorum because of my long respect for Newt and the Christian values I found in Governor Rick Perry. However, I will support Rick Santorum as that other Rick for the values he represents.

Rick Santorum’s win tonight shows what happens when you have conservative grass root support. You don’t need $millions because you have that special kind of volunteers—conservatives—who get the job done out the goodness of their hearts. The Santorum campaign has taken off on fire tonight. I have great admiration for what it has become.

God bless you Iowan conservatives. You set the stage for a man of conservative values to become our next President of the United States.

A great night! He’s definitely come from behind, and here’s hoping he can maintain it. Now that Christian conservatives seem to have settled on a candidate, money and endorsements that people have been holding onto, waiting for someone to emerge, may be flowing his way.

Yes, I know that historically Iowa results mean very little. But speaking as one who was torn between the Bachmann and the Ricks, I’m relieved that one of them has torn away from the pack. We can’t afford to have the conservative vote diluted again like it was last time.

Right before leaving work, a co-worker and I were speculating about the results. He predicted Paul would win with Romney second, which I summarily dismissed. I told him not to underestimate the momentum for Santorum who would be suprising alot of people tonight. Go Santorum....GAME ON, indeed!

It’s now Santorum’s time under the microscope, I think he will fare much better than Cain and Newt, when they had their opportunity. The next two weeks will be crucial.

I will be proud to state my case for him at the caucus, and hope it will still make a difference by the time Colorado votes.

His victory speech was one of the better one’s I can remember.

All the SuperPac money is headed toward Santorum now.

Romney is trailing badly in SC and Fla...Santorum and Gingrich will battle it out in those two states and the winner will emerge to defeat Romney.

The next story is

1. Where do Bachmann and Perry votes go and
2. Can Santorum capitalize.

Arlen who? I for one have been merciless in my attacks against Santorum since he endorsed Arlen in that primary. However, since no one better appears to have entered the race, he'll now have my full support.

"What did you think of romneys speech?"

I actually liked Romney's speech too. It was very good. I think it was the first time I've ever seen any emotional fire from the guy.
