Ryan Jerome was enjoying his first trip to New York City on business when the former Marine Corps gunner walked up to a security officer at the Empire State Building and asked where he should check his gun.
That was when Jerome’s nightmare began. The security officer called police and Jerome spent the next two days in jail.
The 28-year-old with no criminal history now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of three and a half years in prison. If convicted, his sentence could be as high as fifteen years.
Jerome has a valid concealed carry permit in Indiana and visited New York believing that it was legal to bring his firearm. He was traveling with $15,000 worth of jewelry that he planned to sell.

If this goes to trial, the Marine’s lawyer is an incompetent fool if he doesn’t fully inform the jury about their right to nullify.

Similar story about a female medical student from Tennessee last week. She asked a cop and ground zero where she should check her gun.
This should not be happening. But you know who and what runs the state of New York...and, of course, 9/11 never happened.

Unfortunately, you have to go through a metal detector if you want to go up to the observation deck of the ESB. You don't discover that until you've been in line a while. I had to surrender a small pocket knife I had on me. I was able to reclaim it when I came back down, but it was a big hassle.
Regardless of this Marine’s unfortunate position, the lesson to be learned by all patriots is to never trust Marxist union pig cops in liberal cities. They are the enemy. They’re brainless swine who will blindly carry out orders from a pig like the leftist mayor bloomberg.
The Marine needs to make bail and flee the fascist NYC hellhole, to never return. He can find refuge in my state from any NY bounty hunters who are stupid enough to come down.
If the lawyer were to mention nullification to the jury the judge would immediately slap him down and strike the statement from the record. Judges do not want you to know about jury nullification.

This is the second such case I’ve read about in the past three or four days, and it disturbs me somewhat. In both cases the people carrying asked where they could “check” their weapon.I live in a legal carry state, there is no place to “check” your piece that I’ve ever seen. You are either legal to carry or not legal. Do these people not have a lick of sense?
