Live thread to cover today's GOP caucus. News, predictions, opinions, totals, and the like.
Will be heading out about 4 pm or so to get our site ready and do a final review with the precinct chairs. I expect it to be bigger than 2008 with very heavy turnout and we are preparing for that.
We are also ready for disruptions. They simply won't be tolerated. The state party sent us a memo saying if there's any trouble call the cops immediately. Anyone trying to cause problems is going to get a rude awakening.
My predictions of the outcome are a narrow field with about a 10 point spread for the top five with Bachmann far behind in single digits:
Santorum - 24 Romney - 22 Paul - 20 Perry - 17 Gingrich - 14 Bachmann - 4 The Rest - 1
Think things are still in flux and many won't decide till right to the wire, so I'm not terribly confident of any predictions.

BREAKING: Bachmann campaign manager says she may drop out
Sweet Onyx, how are ya?
No UN Ambassador, Bolton's old job so he can verbal Beeotch slap all those Socalist Potentates back to stone age where many belong.
Santorum, has great social values but has problems with being a fiscal conservative, earmarks, lobbyist connections and backing Spector over Toomey. Not sure how the NRA rates him?
95 in Santorum up by 69. 1 percent is about 1000 votes, so this one should go the distance.
Southerners could care less how many times someone has been married. Newt wins SC going away.
No doubt, now Rick is up by 68 with 96% in. This is an incredibly close race.
Not as delusional as Rick Perry will be.
That is my prayer! This vote seems to have had lots of prayer behind it.....
Despite the reputation, Iowans really aren’t that conservative. Iowa evangelicals supported Catholic Santorum, but I’m skeptical Southerners will.
I so agree.
“NH is the same: OPEN primary”
I read where a lot of people from Massachusetts are coming to New Hampshire to help out Romney. Liberals sticking together.
YES! Bachmann dropping out would be excellent news for Perry, Santorum, and Gingrich. I’d take any of them over Romney.
If it’s Obama v. Gingrich, Gingrich will be my man.
Nice she’s remaining positive ...but Michelle, the People HAVE spoken now ...
I will be happy as long as the liberal Romney loses.
No offense taken.
If people like me answer conservative on Gallup’s poll then it seems logical that the term conservative has meanings that do not reflect the ideologies of most here. When you point to conservatives being a large plurality, you’re adding people like me into that mix. From your tone I suppose you’d rather me stay home on Election Day than accept a vote from someone not considered pure by FR standards.
Well, I guess we’ll see in the days ahead.
Ron Pul was born in Pittsburgh and lived in greentree...(I used to live there)
“The Mitt camp (and MSM/Fox/Rep. Establishment/dems) cannot be happy right now. Even if he managed to pull out a squeaker, hes got to know that conservative Republicans just dont like him and as candidates like Bachmann, Huntsman and Perry drop out, hell do worse. Its going to be even harder to win in SC and FL. If there are upcoming debates, I hope Newt kicks butt. Newt will win SC and FL. Go Newt!”
Oh, there’s plenty debates coming. Go Newt/Santorum! Beat Willard!
