Rep. Ron Pauls defense of Irans nuclear weapons program should surprise no one. The same resentment motivates Ron Paul and the Iranian leadership a paranoid hostility toward a world that is swiftly changing and has little mercy, and a Millenarian desire to return to a mythical, untroubled past. Get rid of the Federal Reserve, scourge the bankers, return to a gold standard and erect a wall around the United States and we will return to when? To 1957, when the Russians launched the first space satellite, alerting the United States to the danger that it might lose the Cold War? Then, as always, we prevailed, but by the skin of our teeth. Ron Pauls program is an American version of the Iranian desire to return to a world of Islamic purity that never existed, any more than did a golden age of American isolationism.

I don't support Ron Paul, in your view I'm a boot licking Globalist meat-puppets not a freedom loving American. Based on nothing other than my opposition to your cult leader.
meat puppets, an odd term, what does that mean?
What is the fate of us non Paul supporters in a Paul nation?
I really can't wait until you and all the other leftist Paulbot trolls are gone.
You mean I'm not the only boot licking Globalist meat-puppet here?
My suspicion is that it would be identical to any of the worst totalitarian regimes of the past century.
These trolls would turn FR into Stormfront if given the chance.
OPaulBotZotula!!
Meat Puppet?
LOL
I guess NeoCon Zionist lost all meaning from being over-used?
Also I would like to see Europe more involved in policing the middle east. Islam is in their back yard and a far greater problem for them then for us. Does that make me an isolationist? I don't like it that Paul would it seems stop supporting Israel, or allow Iran to go nuclear he loses me there, but I don't see him as isolationist.
What is a "bankster" exactly? You know I worked in banking for quite awhile, was I a "bankster" in on some great conspiracy?
Typically the folks throwing around the word "bankster" are leftist loons who use it to deride the private financial marketplace.
The one good thing about Ron Paul's candidacy is that has laid bare who are the true freedom loving Americans and who are the boot licking Globalist meat-puppets.
Now with the whole "globalist" stuff. These terms you are using, "bankster" and "globalist", are typical boogeymen of the far left and all manner of loopy conspiracy theorists.
Do you, by chance, also believe the Bilderberg Group is part of some great conspiracy to control us.
Ron Paul is a loon, and your post supporting him sounds more like something that could be found on DU or Kos.
You know, it’s interesting (from my admittedly limited knowledge of history): Before the US entered WWII, there were a significant portion of isolationists, and actually it was quite popular thought to “stay out of the war in Europe”.
Then that all pretty much evaporated after Pearl Harbor.
Now, I would think that 9/11 would be, or should have been, our modern day Pearl Harbor, uniting the country against radical Islam. It did for a while, but now, for some reason, there seems to be a growing backlash against the WoT, for reasons I still can’t fathom. A growing isolationist movement.
Maybe it’s literally the amount of years: After all, for the US, WWII “only” lasted 4 years. It’s been over 10 since 9/11.
For whatever reason the isolationists seem to be back in “vogue”, it’s puzzling and disappointing. I never imagined, or wanted to really, the days and weeks after 9/11 that this country would forget that horrible day and what kind of threat such insanity poses. Apparently some have though, again, a sad reality.
Either they have forgotten, or bought into some crazy conspiracy theory that deflects blame away from Islamic terrorism; either way, this is why we have the likes of Ron Paul today. God help us.
Nope. Globalist meat puppet here too.
As it’s shaping up now, who is the alternative? Romney?
Here’s a brilliant idea... Let’s run the guy who lost to the guy who lost to the incumbent POTUS. How did Einstein define insanity?
Paul is wrong on a number of issues but, even if misdirected, is so much better than any of the other candidates for the GOP nod.
I think that when the mission changed from war to winning the hearts and minds support slowly evaporated.
Seriously. The stink of paulbot has been on all over the forums lately. Paul cultists are literally coming out of the woodwork to push their loony leader. I guess the Iowa caucuses being so close explains it.
I was looking at Paul months ago in a favorable light. However, as time has been passing I’m seeing him more as a Muslim promoter. I keep wondering where his supporters come from and from where does he get, apparently, loads of funding. One guess would be his funds come from pockets of Soros backed organizations.
