Of course it is. Their “need” serves to justify the existence of the parasitic bureaucratic class in DC...and provides moral justification for their intent to keep their hand in your wallet on “behalf” of the foreign parasite.
That our employees in DC have clearly forgotten for whom they work...is our fault...that of We the People...and the consequence of too much oversight for 435 Congresscritters to properly perform.

True. We obviously have not made anything like adequate use of the abundance of rope and trees we enjoy in this country; the politicians do not fear us nearly enough.

They are responsible for their actions. There is no excuse for their behavior. Period. They’d love nothing better than to be able to say, “But, golly! We weren’t aware that there was a problem.” And, yes, I’m assigning a value judgment. They can kiss my grits.
