Iran claimed to have taken surveillance footage of a US aircraft carrier near the Strait of Hormuz as both countries raised the stakes in their standoff over the key oil route.

Video at the link:

The commander of Iran's navy said the reconnaissance mission was proof that his fleet had "control over the moves by foreign forces" but it was unclear what intelligence could be derived from the grainy video, which was played triumphantly on state television.

This is just SOP for paultards. They demean anything to make RuPaul look better, and now they’ve targeted our military.
It is truly disgusting behavior, and I hope they all get the zot.

Thank you Jim from a fellow USN vet.
And this one, too.

It was almost TOO perfect of zot.
Perhaps the most perfect zot I've seen in my 13+years.
Navy thread. Navy Vet objects and calls for support from Jim and Admin. Jim JUST HAPPENED to be browsing the forum. Jim is Navy vet.
Perp zotted in record time.
Bunch of military vets and Active Duty stop by to empty their magazine too.
Oh, and the zotted was PROBABLY the most worthy of zot in the history of FR.
The perfect zot.

Yep, the Combat Air Patrol (CAP) fighters were already there and an E-2 Hawkeye was monitoring the entire area for threats.

As I said yesterday, with all of these Paultards gone (as well as a gaggle of Mittbots), FR has tilted a little further over to the right.
And that’s a good thing. :-D

Having flown P-3s in the So China Sea, I would have turned East, declared an emergency and kept it airborne as long as possible, then ditched it in the water as the engines began to fail. Hated the Red Chinese communists!!

Thank you for your service!

Absolutely CORRECT!
I had several buds in VQ-1 when we (VQ-3) were on Guam with 'em. Boot camp buddies. School buddies. SERE buddies.
That the skipper of that aircraft didn't turn east and run (at 200 ft) is BAFFLING to me.

Situation normal.
Iran does 1-2 major Naval Exercises a year.
Even when they were at war with Iraq - this was normal.
For that matter, it was the same under the Shah.
They always include missile shoots.
HQ and main port of the Iranian Navy and the IRGCN is at Bandar Abbas - right at the top of the SoH.
They never do exercises further than 12 hours steaming from there or the PTG base at Bushere in the north.
That way, they are an easy tow back to port when they mess up.
This is much to do about nothing...

As a proud Vietnam Combat Vet, I am happy to do a dance on the vestigial remains of this sorry specimen - a righteous ZOT if ever there was one!
Just to review the facts, we were kicking ass when I was in-country. We prevailed in every major engagement on the field. We defeated the NVA soundly, and but for the traitorous action of a few leftist bastards like Hanoi Jane Fonda and John F'in Kerry and a compliant media led by Walter Cronkite, final victory would have been secured.
The righteousness of our intervention in Vietnam was underscored by the Communist led bloodbath which followed our departure and the massive Diaspora of freedom loving Vietnamese to the West. Countless of those brave refugees and their progeny have become stalwart citizens of the USA and other Western Nations.
End of rant.
Thank God for the United States of America - Beacon of Freedom and the shining city on a high hill.

Actually, we do. Top cover during transit is normal.
Plus it has become normal to det a couple squadrons to Afghan.
That is why they are transiting.
They are due to be relieved and they need to go pick up the detached elements and do turnover...

The commander could not defend itself? I would expect the escorts to take out a sub in minutes.
