The crazed gunman dressed in a Santa suit who gunned down two families while they were opening their presents on Christmas morning was the father and estranged husband of three of his victims.
Aziz Yazdanpanah, who had separated from his wife in March, is believed to have opened fire at an apartment in Grapevine, Dallas - just after the family opened their gifts - before turning the gun on himself.
Just hours before the families were killed, the group had thrown a large Christmas Eve party at their ranch. Dozens of friends and relatives celebrated late into the night, according to WFAA8.com.
Friends say Yazdanpanah, 56, likely showed up unexpectedly the next morning as he had not been invited to the party.
The victims have been identified as Nasrin Rahmaty, 55, the wife of the gunman, who worked at a nearby salon.
The couple's two children were also killed. Friends say Nona Yazdanpanah, 19, was a student at Tarrant County Community College and her brother, Ali, 15, was a student at Colleyville Heritage High School.
Yazdanpanah also killed his sister-in-law's family. Zohreh Rahmaty, 58, who was Nasrin's sister, and her husband, Hossein Zarei, 59. Their daughter Sahra Zarei, 22, was also shot.

Ah yes. the ever present Freeper multiculturalist.
White Christians do indeed do these sorts of things several times a year.
Muslims, on the other hand, do these things several times a day.
That is exactly the same and it would be terribly bigoted of anyone to remark on that fact. All cultures must be equal, otherwise it does matter what you believe.
Doubtless the best way to make all cultures and religions the same would be to accuse anyone who points out any differences of what? UnChristianity? Bigotry? Literacy? Being a doo doo head? Listening to Justin Beiber?
How enlightened of you.
Now why didn’t the names of the family, pictures or any other details show up in any American media?

I guess you two will have to dismount those high horses you ride on PC mountain.
This was a Muslim (dis)honor slaying.
An hour ago on cable news it was stated “names not known.”
An hour ago on cable news it was stated names not known.
Yes. Because they were MUSLIM, Strict Muslim.
People are also killed every day for NOT being Muslim.
You use the same logic as leftists when they get into trouble by
saying the other side does it too. Fact is, this wasn't the other side
so knock off the apologist rhetoric.
It was a Muslim (dis)honor killing (see other sources within the thread). Daughter was dating boy dad did not approve of and he was losing control over his family. :(
>>No truth has emerged through the criticism of your fellow FReepers.<<
They are making light of, laughing about, and assigning motivations based on nothing but racial stereotyping. This is a terrible event with clearly innocent victims.
>>This is just one of many reports concerning Christmas related attacks:
Being Christian is a death sentence<<
If the reports are correct, the dead mom and children are Muslim (at most — it appears they are not orthodox). And this happened in Grapevine, TX. Reading is Fundamental.
>>While this could be an isolated crime of passion, the justification for such acts is not uncommon among haters of Christianity. The ROP assumption might be wrong, but not farfetched.<<
Where have we heard “fake but accurate” before? You can choose your arguments but not your facts. And, I point you out to the fact the victims were NOT Christians.
Your attempt at a defense is as embarrassing as the posts themselves.
Islam is a race?
You have a fantastically accurate screen name...
Thommas,
AS I mentioned in another post, I live in the city right next to Grapevine and I have a few friends that frequent the spa the mom used to work in. They used to chat to her while waiting and they thought she was “Iranian Catholic”
Odd as it sounds, there is actually a small Iranian Catholic population
There is nothing about my comment that is “high horse or PC mountain”. Over and over again you can read on these tragedy threads very distasteful comments.
Please feel free to stay on YOUR high horse.

Here is the originial interview "Allison Baum" edited out by CBS.
The MSM will cover for any Muslim, and I have no problem pointing this out
reguardless of what anybody here thinks.

Yes. I think this was just your standard domestic.
I am not a muslim apologist. Quite a leap there, buddy. If it was a terrorist attack, then, yes, consider the religion. But this was a domestic murder-suicide that had nothing to do with religion. If you think it does then you, by your same logic, better examine what it is about christianity that prompts so many similar crimes amongst them. Christians are murdering others constantly in this country. What is it about Christianity that causes that?
The answer is, nothing. Nothing about Christianity prompts this just like nothing about islam promted what happened in this case.
It’s embarrassing for our side to immediately jump on the Muslim angle when the behavior is far more typical of a U.S. citizen who happens to be Christian.
Save your fire for times when Islam really does play a role and your opinion will be taken more seriously.

Look at the number of comments about their names and totally ignoring the facts. Stereotyping based on just the name (and being dead wrong) is racism.
>>You have a fantastically accurate screen name...<<
Like most idiots with no argument, you go straight to ad hominem. And your comment bears out my identification of you as an “idiot” so that is a conclusion based on facts in evidence. not ad hominem.
Which of the two of us is ignoring both the empirical evidence of their per capita violence, and the view that comes from the study of their scripture?
That would be you.
I began studying what the Qu’oran and Hadith actually teach in 1979.
This was a standard, run of the mill honor killing, and no, the Amish and the Methodists don't react that way.
Contrary to your personal Muslim apologetics campaign, honor killings are a Muslim problem and Islam is indeed a religion.
