Reporting from Charlotte, N.C. Rick Vetter was rushing to board the Amtrak train in Charlotte, N.C., on a recent Sunday afternoon when a canine officer suddenly blocked the way.
Three federal air marshals in bulletproof vests and two officers trained to spot suspicious behavior watched closely as Seiko, a German shepherd, nosed Vetter's trousers for chemical traces of a bomb. Radiation detectors carried by the marshals scanned the 57-year-old lawyer for concealed nuclear materials.
When Seiko indicated a scent, his handler, Julian Swaringen, asked Vetter whether he had pets at home in Garner, N.C. Two mutts, Vetter replied. "You can go ahead," Swaringen said.
The Transportation Security Administration isn't just in airports anymore. TSA teams are increasingly conducting searches and screenings at train stations, subways, ferry terminals and other mass transit locations around the country.

Bush’s Muslim immigrants are used by bush-bots are to justify the Bush-Obama Police State.
Why is it so hard for people to see what is happening before our eyes.
Bush-Obama’s fault. Indeed.
Brown shirts.
Black shirts.
Now we have blue or is it whits shirts these days.
Story line is the same.
Take your precious bill of rights and wrap the fish in it cause it is meaningless crap. Welcome to the 4th Reich.
>> Jefferson said, Those who will trade liberty for security deserves neither. >>
But it’s even worse than that. With regard to the TSA, we are trading liberty for some kind of bullsh-t false security. We’re not even getting any real security out of the deal.
“... I have a hard time understanding the opposition that frequently appears on this board...”
How up to date are you on ‘Fast and Furious?’ This is not just a corrupt administration, this is an administration wildly out of control!
Actually they are. The Border Patrol can set up roadblocks and do random searches within 150 miles of the border. In New England that includes places like I-91 south of White River Junction Vermont. They never really catch any significant numbers of illegal aliens there because Canadians rarely sneak into the USA, and there are an endless supply of back roads and highways between the border and the roadblock. But it is a great place to line up citizens and ask for documentation.
News outlets reported a few years ago that VT Sen. Leahy was stopped at one of the roadblocks and the Border Patrol agent, when asked by the Senator what the legal basis for the roadblock was, pointed to his pistol. Sen Leahy was reportedly not happy.
This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector. ~ Plato
You are an idiot, or perhaps a TSA employee. Oh, wait—they’re the same thing.
SKA-REW that!
Search moslems...or better yet:
Don't
Even
Let
Them
Aboard
You can't ask elderly Armenians...they were killed in massacres that nobody wants to acknowledge happened.
Ask an extremely elderly German.
One could go ask the people in Darfur. Dangerous, but doable.
Before that, there were legions of others, united behind or forcibly subservient to despotic rulers, throughout the history of humanity.
Or you can just look around the world, and answer your own question.
In this century, Islam is evil on the march.
Humanity always gives evil contemporary nicknames, but it is never very difficult to see it in action.
The better question is, what, if anything, will we do about it?
Living in a free society involves risks. Life cannot be made completely “safe”, and nor do i want the government to attempt to do it. Its theater when they try, and expensive and invasive theater at that.
Profiling would be vastly cheaper, and vastly more effective.
It's already happening in the form of x-raying vehicles that pass by the parked van.....
X-Ray Vans: Security Measure, or Invasion of Privacy?
Snip: The Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. military and even local law enforcement agencies are buying and deploying mobile X-ray vans that can see into the interior of vehicles around them.
The Z Backscatter Van (ZBV), manufactured by American Science and Engineering (AS&E), can be used to detect contraband such as car bombs, drugs and people in hiding.
I flew out of Spokane, WA a couple of weeks ago. Since I have two artificial hips I went through the Rapiscan to help enrich Michael Chertoff.
When it was time to board the gate agent announced that TSA would be conducting “random carry-on checks” at the gate.
Since my Scotch-Irish heritage makes me appear to be a prime suspect for suicide bombings and aircraft hijacking I was selected. I was not happy and asked the TSA$$hat “my bag was already xrayed at the security gate. Don’t you trust your own procedures?”
To which he replied “we’re trying to keep the bad guys off-guard.”
I stated “I thought that once I passed through security screening I was in a secure area. Are you telling me that this area is not secure?”
“Have a nice flight sir.” Moron.
I was traveling by air only because my father died and I needed to make it to the memorial services in Michigan. I hope I never have to fly again but I guess now I can anticipate being treated like a criminal with land travel too.
Buh-bye the America I grew up in.
“That whole TSA crew in royal blue...”
Yea, gee thats a pretty color for a uniform. Let’s see... where else have I see that color worn?
Bullsh#t... the blame lies with us. Those fat tubs of lard, covered in blue tarps with little shiny badges aren't preventing anything except slowly desensitizing us to have complete lockdown of our country.
If you think the TSA is anything but a payroll trough for the mall security rejects and another union to provide "protesters against government cutbacks" you are kidding yourself. Next time you decide to go to the airport think about this....
What would those fat sacks of fecal matter do if say two or three six man teams with back packs roll up to the terminal in 3-4 cars. Hand grenades, 10 clips with some semi-auto weapons and satchel charges. Just unloading and rolling down the terminal with overlapping fire going from one end of the terminal to the other ... shoot and scoot.. then run down the stairs and off they go in waiting vans or trucks.. dump the stolen trucks/vans then hitch onto all parts of the US/Mexico border and jump/walk across...
That's with guys that may want to live... not even suicide commandos that would just roll up and onto the tarmac, blowing up jets, fuel trucks and anything else that go in their way. Including themselves.
What would those fantastic TSA agents do...
Nothing... that's what the TSA would do.. no.. I take that back. they'd do one thing.. they'd die. I want you to really observe the personnel that make up this "security" force. It's pathetic. Two or three fire teams I served with would lay waste to these clowns.
We are sheep.. all of us for tolerating what they've done and are doing to our country. Check points, SWAT teams for the department of EDUCATION (really???) , APC and full auto to cops that spend NO time on CQB and are more likely to kill each other training as opposed to a felon. That's why you here about old ladies and no-knock warrants going bad, it's because these clowns aren't responsible enough to train or be held accountable for murdering civilians.
We are screwed, this last little TSA bump in jobs is just the start. Our friends, family and neighbors are getting desensitized to the presentation of papers, strip searches and the boot on our throats.
Anybody that defends the TSA is a fan of the Three Stooges of the New Age Brownshirts.
Don't look at the pathetic citizens getting abused... look at the losers in the uniforms "just following orders"...

We need CW II or Am Rev II, to forcibly take our country back from 0dumb0 & his socialst commie pig allies.
