Newt-ering Romney in Nevada
Las Vegas Review Journal | Dec 25, 2011 | BY GARRETT BIGGS AND TODD BLAIR

Posted on 12/26/2011 1:57:02 AM PST by Jim Robinson

Can't post article as they are a Righthaven client, though the copyright troll is all but bankrupt due to lost court case and bummed up agreements, but here the authors are basically saying that a "Newt Bomb" is exploding all over Romney's chances in Nevada.

We are the 75%. Romney can’t climb over the 25-30% mark nationally. If we can just grind this out, stay tough and keep our nose to the wind Newt will prevail.

There is an uprising across this nation due to this action in Virginia. It will be our battle call. This is our Bull Run. We will return.

This is not only a referendum on Obama but with the Republican party. Thank-you Virginia!

My glass is always half full, not half empty. We have 11 months to figure out how to get this Communist out of office. This man I believe want’s the total destruction of this country. He is hell-bent to see the pay-back for the sin’s of our father’s. He kisses every enemy’s ass in the world and piss’s on our homeland.

This is THE most important election of my 55 years of existence on earth.

This is the most troubling time since the Civil War. We are now talking about slavery again. And yes, it is again a black and white issue. Thanks to Barack Hussien Obama.

Authors claim Newt's first in Iowa and New Hampshire on some polls.
Can this be verified? It would seem this is earth shaking news if true.

Jim can you coordinate a special fund to finance Newt’s Virginia write in effort? PPP has reported it’s Newt 41 Willard 15 in the Old Dominion.

I thought the same thing when the scumbag Reid was up for reelection, but unfortunately the Mormans will never vote for anyone other than a Mormon, and Clark county is full of Mormans.

I say it is time to stick to the ‘rules’ -
Gingrich and Perry are ‘disqualified’ by their ‘rules’ which they carry out by machines,
so should obama be disqualified on account of his not meeting article 2 natural born citizen status. After all the rule is the rule, US constitution article 2 and the state’s own constitutional requirement for the presidency must be obeyed!

Not so fast! someone needs to look into former such contested cases in the state of Virginia. We don’t just give up so easily. The Virginia law is one thing but whether or not the law was carried out in Perry’s and Newt’s case should be thoroughly investigated as there may be mistakes or loopholes.
Sorry that you prefer to see Perry and Gingrich cede so quickly.

It seems this was written a couple weeks ago to me, and just posted yesterday.

Or possibly our ‘Battle of Manassas Junction”

I believe, from the article that have been posted here on FR, that Newt and Perry will be on the Virginia ballot. I don’t believe that Newt or Perry have ceded. This didn’t surface as a problem until Friday night Christmas and they won’t really be able to start work on this until tomorrow morning. It may be settled by Wednesday night.

"""The Virginia law"""

Did I read on one of these threads that the Law only went into effect this past Nov??? Did they change course in mid stream???

If the candidates had signatures before the law was changed, would not those petitions be, "GRANDFATHERED", due to not enough time for another drive.

IOW's: If the candidates assumed something and began their petitions under the old law (or whatever), they collected those signatures in good faith, OOPS NEW LAW???? start over and no time, how convenient.

I feel that Newt and Perry will get this under control one way or another, at least I hope so. I can't take much more of this.

hiya annieokie:) read on some fr post about a court case similiar to the one facing Newt and Perry over the names on the petitions and addresses not matching. The judge threw it out in favor of the candidate. Would have to find it again.
I am so glad that David Limbaugh and Thomas Sowell are FOR Newt!!!!!!!!!!! we are on the best team ever with the best candidate being offered to American voters in eons. The msm is relentless in their attacks on Gingrich..they fear him. Fox airing the old Pelosi and Newt pic again today.
My hope is the Gingrich supporters do NOT go gently into the good night but fight and fight even harder knowing this is our chance to put this nation back on track.
Heres hoping all the Newt supporters in Virginia raise hell and if Newt is not on the ballot they go out and vote for Paul to take votes from Mitt.

duffee, I can’t recall an election where anything like this ever happened in the past. Have concluded the fix is in and we will have to fight like hell to watch not only the media but the way the states are conducting their primaries and caucus’s.
IF Newt is not the gop nominee (or Perry) I will not vote for Romney. No way..no how. With the support Paul has via Romney if it comes to them...I do believe there is a possiblity of a brokered convention. The GOP is being split and the divide is growin...could this mean 4 more yrs of O?

The Newt and Perry teams in VA, should take the names of those kicked out of the petitions, find those people and get an affadavit or a certified letter from them to take into court. If I had signed a petition and heard it was "possible" my name was kicked out, I WOULD BE CALLING SOMEONE TO CHECK and do what is necessary to make sure my name is used.

Those people fully intended for their names to be on that petition.

This is an outrage, and never suspected the GORE tactics,i.e.Florida, would be used by ANY Republican.

The “mainstream” Republicans, or “country club” Republicans or the “eliteist” or whatever you want to call them have pretty much just been a foil to the democrats in modern history, the only times they haven’t got their way was in 64 with Goldwater, 80 with the Reagan Presidency, and to their surprise the Newt Gingrich Speaker years and with the Tea Party Revolution in the 2010 elections. They are apparently for bigger government and for a fast trot for socialism instead of the full gallop that the democrats prefer. I’m a lifelong Republican and have been active since 1964 when I turned 21 and I am really disgusted with the that segment of the party. They are showing their true colors again as the did when they deposed Gingrich from the Speakers post. They didn’t like Newt because he was effective at controlling the size of government and also that he stood in the way of the democrats agenda. If it’s good for the country but takes power from them or reduces the size of government the RINOS will fight it “tooth and nail” or better described by “hook or crook.”
