Did that guy, who got stabbed, get his Air Jordans?

I’d hate to think he went to all that trouble and didn’t get a pair.

A 20-year-old Jersey City man was stabbed seven times last night during a fight among several of the 300 holiday shoppers lined up to buy the coveted Nike Air Jordan XI Concord sneakers at the Newport Centre Mall, police said.
The Duncan Avenue man, attacked at about 10:19 p.m., suffered non-life-threatening wounds, police said.
When police arrived at the mall, they found the victim outside, drifting in and out of consciousness and leaning against a concrete column in a puddle of blood, reports said.
At the Jersey City Medical Center, the victim told police he was in the line to buy the sneakers at a Footlocker inside the mall and was in front of the Children’s Place when he got into an argument with another man in line, reports said. When the two began to fight, four to six other men joined the attack, reports said.
The man said he thought he was being punched but realized he was being stabbed with knives, reports said. He managed to get away, staggered out of the mall and collapsed near the Hudson-Bergen light rail station, reports said.
The victim described his attackers as being in their late teens, reports said. Police said they found numerous blood trails, adding that the victim was stabbed in the back, shoulder, leg and arm.
The sneakers, last released five years ago, went on sale at midnight and are copies of the shoes Michael Jordan wore during his 1994-’96 comeback. They retail for $180 for men’s sizes; $120 for kids’ sizes.

Fighting over the latest sneaker or whatever is anything but new, but it never ceases to confound me. Is it really that *bleeping* important to have a status symbol? And it *is* all about having the latest status symbol and the bragging rights that come with it. Just blows my mind.

At the Woodbridge Center mall in Middlesex County, three customers who scored pairs of the shoes after waiting in line for 13 hours were ambushed by a larger group as they walked toward their car. The thieves snatched their bags and fled in a green Honda, authorities said.

Police later charged five Perth Amboy residents — a 21-year-old man and four 16-year-olds — with the robbery.

The shoes retail for $180. That’s 40 five round boxes of Remington (Amm-8174) 12 gauge 2 3/4” #1 buckshot. I’d rather have the ammo.

The victim described his attackers as being in their late teens, reports said.

Now there is a "description" which sould make it easy for anyone to help bring them to justice./s

How come the race of the people involved is not mentioned? It’s obviously a racial thing and yet: customers, victims, teens, shoppers, consumers customers, victims, teens, shoppers, consumers customers, victims, teens, shoppers, consumers customers, victims, teens, shoppers, consumers

What’s America afraid of? It’s like the French calling the Muslims burning the banlieues “youths”... By default, you’ll never get a handle on the problem.

Eric Holder is suing South Carolina for trying to implement a Voter ID Law,One of the Main reasons Holder and his ilk trot out is the poor cant afford and ID card therefore it is racism. I would like to propose inserting an ID card in every pair of Air Jordans. Problem Solved

After stories such as these have been coming out over the last few years, I must assume that the store managers responsible for these sales promotions are idiots.

In a mall or on the street, anyone wearing a pair will become a victim and the shoes stolen. Savages, nothing but ignorant savages.
