Release of Air Jordans sneakers .. Stabbing in Jersey City Mall

Nothing, apparently, gets between a man and his Air Jordans. In the latest episode of retail gone horribly awry, crowds of unruly shoppers across the country fought among themselves, scuffled with police, upended Christmas decorations and broke down doors leading up to today’s release of the most recent Michael Jordan-inspired basketball shoe. The unrest stretched from suburban Seattle to Jersey City, where a man was stabbed seven times as he waited in line to buy the $180 sneakers at the Newport Centre Mall, police said. The victim, set upon by several teenagers, was recovering at Jersey City Medical Center.

The victim described his attackers as being in their late teens, reports said.

Wanda Taylor-Amaker of Jersey City returned home disappointed from her attempt to purchase the shoes in Journal Square at Lee Brothers Sneakers on the Square, after she said the store told her the shoes sold for $350 a pair, even though other retailers were selling the pair for $180.
“It was horrible. No one wants to go through this kind of stress to find out the price is so different than what other stores are charging,” said Taylor-Amaker. “I feel disappointed I couldn’t get them for my nephew and son as a nice present, but that’s way out of my price range.”
A man who identified himself as the owner of the store said over the phone that while franchise stores may charge the suggested box price, independently owned stores can charge prices they see fit. He added he sold the sneakers for $250 a pair.
“Its one of those sneakers that has the demand for those willing to pay the price,” he said.

Eric Holder is suing South Carolina for trying to implement a Voter ID Law,One of the Main reasons Holder and his ilk trot out is the poor cant afford and ID card therefore it is racism. I would like to propose inserting an ID card in every pair of Air Jordans. Problem Solved

Why don’t we just give Air Jordans to half of them and ammo to the other half......when the smoke clears, all that would be needed is to arrest the remaining 50%. That just might work. Take away the shoes and start all over again. Pretty soon the problem is GONE! (Obviously i’m dreaming)
