Women sailors share first gay kiss in US Navy
The Telegraph ^ | 12/22/2011 | AP Staff

A Lesbian couple have become the first to share in the US Navy tradition of the 'first kiss' since the repeal of the American military's "don't ask, don't tell" rule.

(Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta (L) kisses her girlfriend of two years, Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Virginia Beach Photo: AP)

Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta of Placerville, California, descended from the USS Oak Hill amphibious landing ship and shared a quick kiss in the rain with her partner, Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell of Los Angeles.

Gaeta, 23, wore her Navy dress uniform while Snell, 22, wore a black leather jacket, scarf and blue jeans. The crowd screamed and waved flags around them.

"It's something new, that's for sure," Gaeta told reporters after the kiss. "It's nice to be able to be myself. It's been a long time coming."

For the historical significance of the kiss, there was little to differentiate it from countless others when a Navy ship pulls into its home port following a deployment. Neither the US Navy nor the couple tried to draw attention to what was happening and many onlookers waiting for their loved ones to come off the ship were busy talking among themselves.

It is His knowledge BEFORE you are born. He knows, He cannot be wrong, you are born with the knowledge of the creator, that you will do x.

You can’t answer the question? It’s a simple yes or no.

When you say saw, does that mean God doesn’t know until after?

He knows,

Seeing something and making it happen are two different things.

Again, God sees everything at once, the past, present and future. That does not mean that he forces man to make any choice.

I'm not a Calvinist. Are you?

I assume that they do, because I do, and you keep saying I worship some god. And that doesn’t even make sense to me.

You say everyone has a god. You know God, but you do not have a god? What do you yearn for in this life?

I yearn for God. You’ve made a god that you can blame. And it doesn’t work.

You can’t read anywhere that I am not saying He forces us?

You still can’t answer the simple yes or no question? You’re like netmom, you keep evading, why?

No. I’m not a Calvinist, don’t know anything about them except the things I read on FR.

I can’t make a god, even if you say so. Besides, what is the big deal about a god? They can’t do anything, it sounds like they’re just something made up. There’s only one God, why do you keep putting them all together?

You can’t read anywhere that I am not saying He forces us?

You continually insinuate that because God sees everything, man cannot make different choices. Again, seeing something is not the same as making it happen.

You still can’t answer the simple yes or no question?

You have not asked a yes or no question. Neither metmom nor I have evaded anything.

I can’t make a god

Yes. You can. You can absolutely distort and twist God into something that He is not and thereby create your own god.

I'm going to go now. You have a wonderful evening.

#196

‘can you do anything other than x’

how is that NOT a yes or no answer?

That really doesn’t make sense, but I undertand why you’re leaving. Next time please try to be a bit more honest.

Merry Christmas

Stuart you are trying to say that because God saw you do "x" that you can't do "y" instead. Again, just because God sees it does not mean YOU didn't make the choice freely. He simply sees the choice that you made. He sees you do "x" at the moment you made the choice. He sees everything all at the same time. Your birth, your life and your death. Do you actually understand how BIG God is?

Have a good night.

You are the one who is dishonest. Drop the scripted questions and exchange with others honestly. You don't.

Goodnight.

Still can’t just say yes or no, huh? ok, no prob.

Of course we believe we make a choice, but how is that truly possible, when the results of that choice are known beforehand by the God that makes you?

oh well, nite

Why not? He can do anything can’t He?

False premise..... God cannot do *anything*.

He cannot lie and He cannot change.

And no, He knowing ahead of time what we are going to do is not Him forcing us to do it and it is not fate. You will not get out of accountability to Him by throwing that back in His face as if you got Him in some kind of *Gotcha* with man's flawed reasoning.

Don’t bother MM. When someone demands a yes or no when that isn’t a sufficient answer, it is scripted and they are playing “Gotcha!”. My guess is that He doesn’t attend a mainstream church but a cultish one.

Aren’t those human things? Man’s flaws? Of course if God says something, it can’t be a lie and He’ll always be God. He can do anything to and with us though.

Accountability hasn’t been mentioned except by you.

How about that answer to #186?

Do you actually understand how BIG God is? Have a good night.

Obviously not. He's just trying to rationalize away any culpability for his sin by throwing it back on God. The reasoning being that since he was *fated* to do it, God cannot hold him accountable and blame him for it and would then be unjust for sending him to hell.

Some people think that by creating what they consider a paradox, they have God in a corner and He will have to do what they say in regard to their eternity. But God is not manipulated by the puny tactics of puny men.

The only solution for our sins is forgiveness granted to us purely as an act of mercy on the part of a loving Creator. We must submit ourselves to God and let Him be God on His terms, not ours.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

All you have to do, stuart, is repent and ask God for forgiveness of your sin and to give you eternal life and He will. And if you ask Him, He will lift the blindness from your heart and mind that is leaving you deceived about Him. The truth WILL be found by anyone sincerely seeking it.

But if all you're doing is trying to game the system and avoid hell by your own manipulation of God, it's not going to work.

Doesn’t an answers’ sufficiency lie in the one asking? A yes or no would certainly be sufficient to me. Why do you think I keep asking?
