Newt Gingrich isn't exactly chasing the gay vote.
The Republican presidential candidate told a homosexual Iowa man at a campaign event on Tuesday to vote for President Obama.
Scott Arnold, a Democrat and associate professor of writing at William Penn University, approached the ex-House speaker in Oskaloosa wanting to know how Gingrich would represent him as President, according to the Des Moines Register.

Arnold said he was disheartened by Gingrich's latest comments.
"When you ask somebody a question and you expect them to support all Americans and have everyone's general interest," Arnold said. "It's a little bit frustrating and disheartening when you're told to support the other side, that he doesn't need your support."
Did this man expect Gingrich to change all his positions simply to pick up his support?
Good for him for taking a stand.
What an idiot.
I don't know.
Good for Newt. Let the democrats pander to the queers, they are good at it.
Hey, slow poke...if you’re a Demo-crat, you vote Demo-crat.
Gingrich doesn’t need your vote.
Is that the best Newt can come up with?
Ok, you oppose same sex marriage and so do I. But, we really want to tell people to go vote for the other guy? God forbid this loose cannon becomes our candidate.
Two thoughts on this:
1. If he’s looking for Gingrich or any other Republican to support gay marriage and gay rights, he’s barking up the wrong tree. It won’t happen and in that limited sense, he would be better voting for Obama.
2. However, if he simply said, “as a gay man, how will you help me?” Newt should have answered “by cutting the deficit, getting Obama’s insane spending under control and keeping the country secure.” Despite what the Left wants people to believe, gay people care about these issues just as much as anyone else.
Newt probably gets a “belly-Full” of all of the FAGGOT BS from his “half-sister”!
If we wanted a political whore there are plenty of them out there ~ and the Democrats have them all!
“I think Newt’s honest answer was eminently refreshing”
I certainly do too! You would think the ‘professor’ would admire the honesty and respect that he is not going to pander....but Nooooooo! LOL
Being “gay” is an insult to God and an insult to the freedoms we enjoy: to use your freedom to have anal intercourse and engage in other socially harmful behavior is to spit on all the opportunitied - the good choices - freedom provides to you.
Who would want to join forces with such fools?
Being “gay” is NOT the same as having same-sex attraction disorder; the very term “gay” celebrates the disorder.
A good, stable candidate would have used response #2 or something along those lines.
**** “When you ask somebody a question and you expect them to support all Americans and have everyone’s general interest,” Arnold said. ****
So, uh, Mr. Arnold. What about the Obama administration not campaigning to white working class voters? It’s can be seen as the direct equivalent of what Mr. Gingrich just told you.
I don’t quite see it that way. Gays are NOT a majority, and I believe Mr. Gingrich was telling you he won’t support a radical gay agenda. Obama, with his ambiguous sexuality, seems to be 100% in the radical gay “rights” camp.
You know, it would have been nice to see what Gingrich’s actual statement was. Instead, we have only the characterization provided by a gay activist who was likely trying to bait Gingrich in the first place.
He was clearly looking to bait Newt and he didn’t take the bait. So he’s disappointed that he couldn’t do his zinger follow up question.
Yes!! I wish Newt would have told the “bitch” to take all his queer friends with him and vote for Obama. We don’t want that abomination with us! This country was not created by God for that kind of behavior.
Sometimes the truth hurts... The fact is Newt is not going to do anything to advance homosexuality or Gay marriage if elected and may actually ending up repealing some of the things from the Obama era. Therefore if this man or anybody else is planning to vote SOLEY on advancing the homosexual agenda then they would be better off voting for Obama. Newt answered the question 100% truthfully. As for the second statement about Newt "not needing" the support of homosexuals. He doesn't. Homosexuals make up well less than 5% of voters, and they vote democrat by an 80%+ margin. Gingrich would lose far more voters on the right by embracing the gay agenda then he would ever gain in the gay community.
