Two thoughts on this:
1. If he’s looking for Gingrich or any other Republican to support gay marriage and gay rights, he’s barking up the wrong tree. It won’t happen and in that limited sense, he would be better voting for Obama.
2. However, if he simply said, “as a gay man, how will you help me?” Newt should have answered “by cutting the deficit, getting Obama’s insane spending under control and keeping the country secure.” Despite what the Left wants people to believe, gay people care about these issues just as much as anyone else.
A good, stable candidate would have used response #2 or something along those lines.
Yes, but the big, super-rich, lawyered-up gay organizations do not.
Big Gay will come out on top no matter what, no pun intended. They’re into the government at every level like white on rice.
“However, if he simply said, as a gay man, how will you help me? Newt should have answered”
Cut off your dick and let you bleed to death!
That should have been Newt's answer. However, I do not agree that gays care as much about these issues. I'm sure some do; but the real flamers only care about being gay and being validated for being gay. It is difficult to imagine being so sex-obsessed you will vote for a candidate based on his/her pandering to your lifestyle. Sadly, that is how many gays (including the one who questioned Newt) make decisions as to whom to vote for in elections.
The professor undoubtedly is a total liberal as well as gay so telling him about cutting the deficit, etc, would be pointless.
Of course the professor is a liar. He wasn’t there to ask an honest question but Gingrich gave him an honest answer.
Some do. I get along great with them. But most of them really do seem to care more about sex than anything else. In fact, that's my working definition of a liberal: someone who cares about sexual freedom... and not any other kind of freedom.
