Considering that he only would spend a very small proportion of his year on any trains or inspection tours (I’m guessing this), it’s far more likely he died in his residence or in a hospital room.

Of course, since he was in such serious ill health any attempt at a train ride or inspection tour might have been the added stress that brought a cardiac crisis.

Still, I’m guessing the train thing is a propaganda fabrication to make him sound active and energetic in service to the cause to the last moment..... bc otherwise ppl might become more aware that he spent his days and nights in a cesspool of luxury and sensuality and depravity.

Thank you for this thread and for all of your informative threads and posts!

For all of us more remote from Korean information and analysis it is most educational.

Yep. I/we call him "Fishlips", in the biz. It has somewhat caught on. Don't have a nickname for her yet.

Maybe General Mrs. Kim Kyong Huisky (a Korean pronunciation for "whiskey"). Real kitchen drinker it sounds. Also, I guess Hennessey can continue to export in massive quantities to DPRK.

This sounds more plausible by the minute. And if Western news sources had any sobriety, they would preface it with “North Korean authorities insist” (Kim died on a train). Rather than reporting it as straight news fact. We cannot do that at this time. Too many questions. Too many lies to-date.

PS Did I also add that CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC and other Western news outlets SUCK EGGS big time with respect to reporting on North Korea and urgent developments?

A) They do not normally follow it deeply enough and have their >>>> caught in the wind when something big like this breaks and they stumble all over themselves with mispronunciations, factual errors, f'ed up maps, etc, and B) They have to report to a horrendously, incredibly dumbed-down American viewing audience that only knows Kim Jong il from comedies so the level of reporting is that of a 15 year old....it can be frustrating to many specialists as they add nothing that we have not already heard for years on end and already know ("North Korea is an isolated nation just north of South Korea separated by a DMZ and led by a reclusive communist dictator.") (Big breaking, earth-shattering news, eh? / sarc) No thanks. I would rather get my DPRK flash news directly out of Pyongyang, Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, Free Republic, Marmot's Hole, Daily NK and a few other places, not Washington, New York or Atlanta.

You’re correct. I’ve just checked European press and they’ve been all over this story, interviewing South Korean experts, refugees, former high officials in NK. Speculations, such as yours, suspicions, more in any case than our MSM.

In Korean, but a good historic timeline graphic of the Kim Jong il Dynasty, roots, key events, etc. I still wonder the final death toll attributable to this one man's sick orders:

I wonder what Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela and other fraternal socialist nations are saying in their media, or their leaders are saying....

Now some South Korean paper(s) is stating in fact he died of a coup d’ etat and died nearly two months ago. That of course would mean that they had faked footage of his on the spot visits during that time from actual death to announcement of death. Who knows? Might be a plausible explanation as to the long absence of the main female announcer exclusively dedicated to Kim Jong il reporting, on Pyongyang State TV since nearly two months ago. Of course it is a big rumor mill out there.

They don't like to report on other countries unless there is a comfy and safe hotel present.

Front cover of today's Rodong Shinmun (Workers Daily) newspaper from Pyongyang. Why, IT'S A KEEPER!!

Basically says the "Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il Has Passed Away" with black bold border and full color shot (usually no color in this daily DPRK official paper to my knowledge).

The Chinese told one European journalist that they have no influence on what’s happening in NK now.

20% of the 23 million North Koreans work for the military.
There are 200,000 political prisoners in labor camps.
Hunger persists in the countryside.

The speculation started because the female announcer was absent for 50 days and suddenly showed up on TV announcing Kim’s death. Many figure her absence and his death were related. Hence, they suspect that he died and that led her to disappear for the duration. Somehow everything is under control now, and she is allowed to show up on TV, reporting the news. That is how the story goes.

Not as much as they hope. Kim Jong-il has been jealously eradicating Chinese spies inside NK regime. That won't deter Chinese, though. Now more than ever, they will try to flood the county with their spies.

Now any “on the spot” guidance photos and particularly videos of the Chia Pet for the last 50 some odd days should be examined with a fine tooth comb. Scenery. Sun angles. Clothes. Evidence of photoshopping. Previous photos being recycled. Dramatic differences in his appearance. Possible doubles using sunglasses. Very interesting. Nobody has seen the Boy, maybe he is dead or on his way to being dead, too, and its all something out of the Twilight Zone.

I’m in South Korea right now. Some consternation...South Korea had no idea about this apparently, heads should roll, spy network not so good.
