Thanks for the photos. 99% of the Occupy Scumbags want to see America looking like NK at night, not harming the environment and no capitalism disturbing the night sky.

On Drudge, North Korea test fires a short range missle. What was the point of test firing a missile now? Anyone knowledgeable care to speculate? For the same reason a scared Dog barks.

Coincidental. It appears. That is the ROK military and US military assessment, initially.

If someone is going to make a power-play on Jr, what kind of timeframe would you expect? Soon, before the funeral? Or do you think this would take some time to materialize?

Yeah, Perhaps.
I can't find any precise info, such as the timing of it, or where it hit. You?

They will cook up the plan over several months, and then unveil it at the appropriate time. Assassination. I expect within the next six to nine months but not right away. Foreign forces could be behind this. China could be behind it. Jealous military commanders feeling passed over just due to blood relations might arrange it. Fishlips could turn against the boy if he gets too “uppity” (remember this kid was instrumental in both the shelling of Yongpyongodo Island and the sinking of the Cheonan, mastering the skills of mass murder as his father did with Korean Airlines and Rangoon bombings, not to mention Japanese kidnappings, or drunkenly ordering a bumbling waiter at an elite dinner party off to be executed with a shot to the head, just on a whim, that kinda sweet Kim Jong il we are talking about...like father like son.) Particularly if Jong Eun starts to get paranoid and pulling elite cadres out of the Party and sending them off to death camps or having them die in Mercedes Benz “accidents” at high speeds. Word will get around quick enough and resentment will ensue, escalating into action against him, I believe. Yes, with this one, FACTIONS will necessarily develop in the aftermath. Not with the father and grandfather so much did they come to fruition (but existed), but I believe it will with the boy. It is ripe for it. He is in a position now to make many, many enemies, if he at his age or temperment lacks leadership skills and cleverness. It’s alllllllllll about raw POWER.

I agree with your comment on that mindset. “Oh, Russia, China, other nations have tried Communism, but they never did it right. We will do it right.”
Problem is, you can’t do it right without becoming totalitarian and fascist.
Look at our freedoms as Socialism marchers forward here.

Died in his train due to too much fatigueSounds like he *ahem* came and went at the same time.

...but I also think if you scratch deep enough, this is all built on a house of cards and in most peoples' heart of hearts, they all know this is bullshit but just have to go along to avoid being sent to Camp Yodok as corkwood. That seems more likely.

I don’t think Kim Jong-il’s permanent “residence” will be good. I think you meant to write good riddance. And to that I will add a second.
