Can no one explain the ‘payroll tax cut’ de-funds Social Security, which is already pilfered and broke? Why won't one Republican mention the fact that GWB wanted to place the same 2% of FICA collection into voluntary private funds for younger wage earners, and the DC world went into fainting spells? I keep living in hope that one candidate will take it to Obama and Wasserman/Shultz et al. What a silly dream. They both lie about the time of day, so they are not fazed by any statement of reality.

I have heard Newt do it in the past not recently.

It's all part of zeros/soros' plan to destroy everything and rebuild it in a Marxist mold. And you are absolutely correct. Cutting the amount of money that goes into the SS fund(if it really existed) simply destroys the fund much quicker which is what the regime wants. Destroy the fund and everyone will look to big govt. to sustain SS.This plays right into the hand of the socialists.

ABC's "blue chip panel" has degenerated into class warfare. Hope one of our guys is smart enough to ask the how much is enough question.

Likewise, why did Krystal come out and say the House wanted unemployment extended a year while the Senate only wanted it for 2 months, like that is a good thing. Let them cut it to two months and let’s debate the value of a permanent welfare check disguised as unemployment.

We can’t be against gummit programs while extending these benefits. Everyone knows there are plenty who are simply clipping coupons while not looking.

Merry Christmas

And where is Boehner's head at? He should be the first to say NO and instead offer a income tax break for wage earners(not tax credits for freeloaders)instead.

Newt supports the extension of the payroll tax reduction. Senator Kirk, no conservative, has actually provided the best explanation on why this is not a good idea. He also in the clip below says that we should not be calling it a reduction in the payroll tax, but rather a reduction in the payroll contribution. I wish more Reps would use this against the Dems instead of rolling over and agreeing to it. Kirk destroys the argument about the SS actuary's statement.
