Texas congressional candidate Ron Paul's 1992 political newsletter highlighted portrayals of blacks as inclined toward crime and lacking sense about top political issues. Under the headline of ""Terrorist Update," for instance, Paul reported on gang crime in Los Angeles and commented, ""If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be." Paul, a Republican obstetrician from Surfside, said Wednesday he opposes racism and that his written commentaries about blacks came in the context of ""current events and statistical reports of the time."...
...Paul continues to write the newsletter for an undisclosed number of subscribers, the spokesman said.

Busted Ping, Ron Paul has been lying about not authoring his newsletters. In 1996 when confronted with them, he admitted writing them and defended them.
*BOOM*
se ya Paul!
on the plus side... they still have your room saved at the insane asylum!
I’ve read Paul’s newsletters.
Filled with typical neo-nazi/Black Hundreds conspiracy stories about evil Jewish cabals.
LOL! Those people sure can run !
I’ve been saying here for a couple weeks now that when Obama is done with using this useful idiot pollute the GOP primary process with his lunacy, they will haul out the newsletters to undermine him.
It really doesn’t matter if lied or not about authoring them. He chose the newsletter writers, he collected campaign contributions from their readers and let them be published under his name over multiple decades. That vile crap is owned by that kook whether he likes it or not.
It’s not hard to find Paul’s neo-nazi followers, baseless attacks on Israel, and anti-semitic scribblings:

BTTT
“If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.”
Ah, the “extra muscle in their legs” presumption, so prevalent in my dad’s side of our Texas family. Dad escaped...
I read the article and saw nothing that isn’t dead on true. What do you disagree with?
You should ask Ron Paul- he is the one who now is saying he never wrote them, didn’t know about them, and disavows what was written in them.
Apparently, he doesn’t want to be associated with it.
(was he lying when they were written in his name, when he said he wrote it in 96, or when he denied writing it in 2007 through the present)?
"We don't think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That's true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such."
This flies in the face of both the Constitution as well as the core of Conservative values. First, it completely opposes the concept of equal opportunity under the law and the equal protection clause. It is implying that the government should create separate categories of laws for separate classes of people based on the government's classification (in this case race). It does have the law judge a person based not only on that person's actions, but instead, partial judgment has already been rendered based on the person's race. According to Paul, because this suspect is black, he is already being held to a higher threshold of the law than a white person who is accused of the same thing. The law isn't judging action but who the person is.
Second, this flies in the face of the Conservative value of individualism. You are not a governemnt category, you are you. Your success or failure derives from your individual actions. It is liberals who put everyone into these little boxes and tell you that you are limited based on what box they decided to put you in.
That point of disagreement can be carried forward to a lot of the things written here. Paul is pulling the democrat or David Duke game of judging people based on their race, not on them as an individual.
Is Paul still alive? At his age it’s only polite to check on him every day.
Ron wants to take us back to his favorite time in his life, the late 19th Century. :D
Do you have a link to the actual newsletter?
They were written prior to the internet however, there are scanned copies floating around and a good Google search will bring them up (The ones I’ve found are on unwelcome sites so I can’t post them here).
My google searches have thus far lead to dead links on the newsletter quoted in the posted article.
Here you go. I forgot FReeper LSUFan did some great legwork in the last election, found some of them and scanned them himself.

My google searches have thus far lead to dead links on the newsletter quoted in the posted article.
The only pdfs’ I’ve found were in the wayback machine and most were dead links.
This article’s information is at least third hand and I’m trying to do some valid research. (The few pdf’s I’ve found were grossly misrepresented.)
