“God help us all if former Governor Sarah Palin decides to endorse Mitt Romney.”
After what his people did to her during and after the 2008 election, I would be surprised if Palin even mentions Mitts name.
He and his people have proved to her over and over what backstabing is in the political arena.
Lesson learned ....Don’t let Romney or his people anywhere near your six.

We don't need to accomodate RINO's...Jim has allowed non-Conservative members, too So which is it? Do we accommodate non-conservatives or do we don't?

Mitt is the 3rd party, IMO. The imposter party where all the rino’s belong.

This is very disappointing. As a result of this endorsement, I think less of her today than I did yesterday.
I wonder what pressure (or promises) she got to fall in line behind Romney.

I am a South Carolinian and a supporter of Gov. Nikki Haley. Needless to say, this is a disappointing decision to me. I know why she did it — It was a pure political calculation. Simply put, Nikki was first endorsed by Mitt Romney in her run for Governor by Mitt Romney — when she was in last place in the polls. Of course, it was Sarah Palin’s endorsement that rocketed her to 1st place and the Governor’s mansion — but alas, Sarah’s not running. Thus, she gave her endorsement to the Presidential Candidate that gave her his endorsement. So, this is just a political payback. She’s “playing the game.” Not surprising.... But I don’t think it will help Romney all that much in SC at this point.

That’s the thing. The GOP Old Guard must be overthrown from within, so the blessings of the Holy PACs can be used to leverage endorsements of conservatives, rather than liberals.

When Mitt Romney DOES become the 2012 nominee of the Stupid Party, it will be most instructive just what Free Republic does. Does it eat its words and reverse itself, rationalizing and supporting him and the RINOs against Obama or will Free Republic become a site supportive of an Alternative Conservative Party and candidate for president based on restoration of Constitutional principles?? Really wondering these days.I'm wondering, too.
If Romney somehow ends up as the GOP nominee, will FR make way to back Romney against Obama, despite Romney's flagrantly anti-life, anti-RKBA, pro-homosexual, pro-bailout, pro-taxes, pro-Obamacare, pro-Big Government record?
(Then again, FR supported the treasonous RINO McCain in the 2008 general election - you remember how that turned out, AiT.)

Free Republic is not going to support Romney from what I've read. Jim Robinson posted this last month:
It may be the end of FR should he get the nomination, but no way in hell will I ever support or vote for the abortionist, homosexualist, global warmingist, gun-grabbing, socialist healthcare pushing, big government mandate loving, flop-flopping, lying liberal progressive Keynesian, Mitt Romney.
If Willard gets the nomination, a lot of us will not support him and will go third party, write-in, or leave it blank for President.
But I don't think Mitt Romney will get the nomination. Bachmann, Perry, and Cain could not really dent Romney's polls, but Gingrich is doing it. Just as people thought the Republican Revolution was impossible, a lot of people, myself included, thought it was impossible to make a dent in Romney's 20-25%, but Gingrich is doing it.
To: rabscuttle385; AmericanInTokyo
Well, I’ll tell you. At least McCain was pro-life and not a draft-dodger.
If abortionist/socialist Mitt Romney is the nominee, I cannot and will not support him. And if that makes it tough for FR, so be it.
In the interest of keeping FR alive to fight another day, I may be forced to make some interim changes, but I will not support this liberal/progressive bastard come hell or high water.

Okay I have been reading that everyone hates Mittens and blames him for bringing down Sarah, and I am willing to believe you all because my principles have matched those I've seen on this blog for the most part. I need to know what Mittens did to Palin that makes everyone so mad. Why do "we" hate him more than Newt. They both change sides. Did he invent and spread false rumors about her when she ran for VP and afterward? I seriously need to know, because I don't understand right now. I love Nikki Haley and so far think I always will. Why say she has a defect because she is supporting Romney?

Unlike O’Donnell, Bob Dole, and Mark Kirk, this one is actually meaningful.
People are excepting the race as a two-way and don’t like Gingrich’s chances in November. I expect more players to publicly line up behind Romney.
What a state of affairs.

That is what I thought when I saw her endorsement and the words in her interview yesterday. Newt is scaring her to Romney. Why else would she support someone as defective as Romney?

Spike had the first 3 on over the weekend; WAAAYYYYY too many ads.
The worst attempted viewing I had was on BBC-America. “Bullett” was on ~3 months ago, and I couldn’t finish watching it due to the ads; there was an ad literally every 4 minutes. I bailed.

A lot of ignorant statements on this thread. Haley isn’t a sellout and isn’t popular because most SC Republicans like to call themselves conservatives to avoid confrontation but they are just as quick to accept a handout as anyone. I love my governor.

You would rather her endorse that filthy adulterous glutenous lying slob Gingrich? Some conservative you must be.
