The last debate before the January 3rd Iowa caucuses is being held tonight in Sioux City.
We get seven candidates at this debate: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.
Fox's Bret Baier anchors the debate. Fox News panelists questioning the candidates: Chris Wallace, Megyn Kelly and Neil Cavuto.
While I’m not a huge Perry supporter...he did well tonight. I’m glad to see that he’s getting more comfortable in these debates. I also think his sense of humor is definitely a plus.
Good for Perry.
Newt — still the statesman and patriot.
Romney — still a used car salesman
Bachman — still pissy.
Santorum — still steady and reasonable.
Perry — amusing — but really, can’t we at least admit Santorum does a better job.
I don’t think the “pundits” watched the same debate... to say Bachman helped herself is beyond belief. The big winner was Newt... Perry didn’t shoot himself in his foot so that helped him.... Santorum did well but can’t find traction. Romney - casper milquetoast but nothing disasterous.... Paul....get back on the meds !!
Oh great! Frank Luntz......
Commentary: Kruthammer - Romeny steady, Bachmann good. Paul zany. Newt good on some points! What a hack he is.
Is Megyn Kelly a social liberal? What did Newt and Bachmann say about the courts that she thinks will hurt them in a general election?
Newt’s a genius...not perfect but so damn smart.
Chris Wallace just said that Perry was a big winner tonight!
Post-debate wrap-up on Fox: Bachman and Santorum winners. LMFAO! Why bother watching this loser channel anymore?
For the first time they both mentioned Perry in a favorable light.
My call, according to the audience reactions, is;
NEWT
PERRY
ROMNEY
SANTORUM
BACHMANN
MOONBAT
HUNTSMAN
Here are my rankings of how I feel the candidates did tonight:
Michele Bachmann - I believe Michele handily won tonight's debate and is our best choice to run against Obama. She has never deviated from Tea Party values and fully understands and will defend our Constitution.
Newt Gingrich - Newt also performed very well tonight despite being under near-constant attack. I do not think Newt is our best choice for nominee as I believe he is too tied into the Beltway, but I will vote for him if he is nominated.
Rick Perry - Not a big fan of Rick Perry before tonight but he impressed me tonight. Very good job tonight but might be too little too late. Will vote for him if nominated.
Rick Santorum - Very sharp performance tonight. I'd happily vote for him if he is the nominee and he is my first choice for VP.
Jon Huntsman - Not a fan of Huntsman at all but he also turned in a pretty decent performance.
Mitt Romney - Basically played it safe and treaded water most of the night. Sorry Mitt but we need a nominee who will go on the offensive. I think Mitt was seriously damaged at the end when challenged on all his flip-flops concerning gay marriage, abortion and gun control.
Ron Paul. Hopefully he is on his way to the "nervous hospital" where they will put him under observation for the next 90 days. The man is absolutely nuts.
For the first time they both mentioned Perry in a favorable light.
Our Primary is so late, whoever the frontrunner is will win. If Santorum is in front by then, he will win. That is how it always works here.
Never forget that Guliani was the front runner until a few days before Huckabee won Iowa.
“Oh great! Frank Luntz......”

I know what you mean. His “Focus Groups” can be quite annoying at times.
Bless their hearts!
Way to go,hope they read this, they need our input desperately.
I thought Pery nailed it with every answer he gave.
BTW Chris Wallace just said that Rick Perry was a big winner tonight!
It is more Romney, the concerns are with. Not sure who Newt would bring or Perry.
