The last debate before the January 3rd Iowa caucuses is being held tonight in Sioux City.
We get seven candidates at this debate: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.
Fox's Bret Baier anchors the debate. Fox News panelists questioning the candidates: Chris Wallace, Megyn Kelly and Neil Cavuto.
I agree and like what someone said about Perry, something about “the kind of guy you want to hang out with and maybe have a beer”, and he is solidly conservative on most issues but he’s just not quite up to the challenge here. Besides Newt, he’s the only one I’d happily vote for among this group.

Yes, that will be the next wave. The Center for Health Transformation, a for-profit company where BCBS and other big health insurers, as well as Big Pharma company, paid huge "membership fees" for access to Mr. Gingrich.
Then, lessee . . . probably his association with the ethanol lobby. (Oh, did you know his present wife was the Chief Clerk of the House Committee on Agriculture for many years, just when so many of those hearings on ethanol subsidies and tax goodies were held?)
Fox has a last round tactic to attack. Just wait for it.
Agreed. Texans are sometimes castigated for saying we are the best or biggest at something. We would like to hear how every one of the other States accels at some certain something they do best. Perry has stumbled onto something that makes America what it is. JMHO.

Yes, excpet that Obama will never debate Newt or anyone else. Obama just has to stay above the fray.
I am not as concerned about our candidates debating skills as I am about their positions and abilities.

Newt has been parsing this debate and scoring really big points when FOX decides to throw him a little crumb every once in a while.
This has certainly been a biased debate. They are purposefully attacking Newt and avoiding him on questions they know he will hit out of the park.
My opinion of FOX is really below that of MSNBC these days.
