The Mysterious Jeb Bush Poll
Slate ^ | 12.15-2011 | David Weigel

Posted on 12/15/2011 2:11:10 PM PST by SonofReagan

It started when the mayor of Merrifield, New Hampshire, tweeted that he'd gotten a robo-poll asking about a possible Jeb Bush presidential campaign. It's continued, with random granite state citizens getting the same calls. One of them sent over the gist of questions received last night. (These aren't direct quotes, but paraphrases.

Jeb has less chance of getting the nomination this year than perennial candidate Harold Stassen (who died 10 years ago).

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Rove’s stragety of no political defense of Bush/attack on liberal lies killed the Bush family. We would lose to the Dems, guarenteed! Liberals have demonized George - litterally.

George was completely destroyed as a human being without an effort on his part to tell the truth about anything...beginning with the 911 investigation and continuing through the end to Clinton’s real estate crash.

The Bushs are totally wrecked with this generation. They also wrecked the whole party with them and elected a radical Marxist Muslim to the White Hut.

And yet, the idiot Rove sits on Fox News and advises the GOP. He should be in hiding.

I’m hardly promoting Jeb. We’ve had enough Bushes, thank you. But this argument is pointless.

I think you misunderstood the intent of my response. I agree with you. I like Jeb, but I wouldn't support him for POTUS because we've had too many "dynasties" of late and Bush 43 kind of soured me on wanting any more Bush's in the WH.

All I wanted to o was try to clear up the popular notion that Jeb did nothing to ty to help Terri. I think he has taken an unfair hit for something that wasn't his doing.

why would they be polling NH as Bush clearly cannot get on the ballot and write-in would be absurd.

He could do caucuses as there is no ballot. And later primaries.

Ha! No panicking here!

Just a LOL at the Establishment.

They must be desperate considering Romney doesn’t pick up any numbers even with the volatile polling on the base side of the equation.

Those in the know are right...they thought the Establishment would be able to split the conservative base vote.

They are wrong...lol
