We REALLY Do Not Know (who will be the GOP nominee, could be someone not in the race yet)

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote that we do not know who the GOP presidential nominee will be:
It could be Mitt Romneythough our warnings in this space a couple of weeks ago that his victory is by no means inevitable seem increasingly justified by the dynamics of the race.
The nominee could be Newt Gingrichwhose rise in the polls has been spectacular, and whose skills and appeal are still widely underestimated by many elites, including conservative elites
[....]
It could be someone not yet in the race. If the Gingrich surge turns into a Newt bubble, and if there continue s to be the present level of resistance to Romney, then anyone from Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin to Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Mitch Daniels, Marco Rubio, or Jeb Bushor someone else!
Let me repeat, with emphasis: We REALLY do not know who the GOP nominee will be.

I don’t know about picking up the mantle, but I think Skipper likes to drop the soap when he’s flirting.

If she entertains the idea, I will do everything in my power... within moral and legal boundries ;-)... to help her get elected.

I don’t think someone could jump in the race and win this late in the game. They are already locked out of too many states.

“could be someone not in the race yet”
No. It could not.

Conservative can emerge.
Newt is amnesty, global warming and individual mandate nut. True progressive.
Bachmann is our hope.
Stop amnesty!

Palin might just be the VP nominee. It’s her time. Newt as President and Palin as VP.

anyone from Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin to Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Mitch Daniels, Marco Rubio, or Jeb Bushor someone else!
My faves out of that list would be:
#1. Marco Rubio, but he's too young; not quite ready for the Top Spot.
#2. Sarah Palin, but she's been too demonized by the msm and GOP elitists that she's damaged goods.
#3. Paul Ryan, but his Medicare proposal in his Economic Plan would be too much fodder for Obozo and the Dems.
The rest of the aforementioned RINOs, you can "throw back". So, I'll stick with Newt.

Notice he didnt mention the next most likely...Perry!!
That's because Perry already had his chance at the top and folks didn't like what they saw and left him. I think that Gingrich will be on top for a while. I'm seeing a lot of people supporting him that I wouldn't have thought otherwise, and some of them have made good points in his defense, the kinds of points that have me less hesitant to support him if he gets the nomination.

On his radio show today, Hannity asked Michele Bachmann if she really was considering Donald Trump for VP if she gets the nomination and she said that he would be one of her considerations. Whaddya think FReepers? Bachmann/Trump in 2012?
