The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today the release of its latest ad, 'Selling Access', another two-minute web video aimed at former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, calling him out as a corrupt Washington insider who got rich through influence-peddling.
The video, which the campaign plans to promote prominently on conservative web sites, includes a clip of Gingrich calling himself an 'insider' and another in which the former Speaker brags about getting paid $60,000-a-speech. The video comes after the viral success of Paul's earlier web ad, 'Serial Hypocrisy', which criticizes Gingrich for many of the same issues.

He made his money, as you have been apprised, writing books. He's still writing books - best sellers.
The 'pay' is good for good writers - and Newt - DR. Gingrich - has a brilliant, educated mind.
and he scares the bejeebers out the REAL Insiders - the Establishment Ivy League Republican Cabal - that have been running all things republican for many decades...the ONLY president in the last 40 years NOT a card carrying member of the Establishment Cabal was Reagan.
Newt is a Reaganite - was carrying out Reaganomics when in office {which is how he balanced the budget, historically, 4 years in row, for one example.] The Establishment Cabal and the Media and the Socialists see now, as they did in the mid-90's, a NON-insider who threatens their very existence as the rulers of the party who have installed their Ivy Leagers for decades.
The REAL INSIDER is is their boy Romney, whose otherwise plastic face is now registering the look of a deer-in-the-headlights, wondering what went wrong because "it's MY TURN!"
The Triumvirate: Establishment pubbies, media & Socialist know that he will also pick his leaders from OUTSIDE the INSIDE and he has also stated that he will not keep ONE holdover now in position. For ex: Ben Bernake - "You're Fired!"
So the Triumvirate is beginning to howl and froth like the Hounds of Baskerville.
Which group do YOU belong in?
Newt is a Progressive Republican, part of the old Rockefeller wing. Don't believe it?
Look up the case of Dede Scozzafava -- Pro-abort, pro-gay marriage, ties to Acorn, "Progressive Republican" Scozzafava was endorsed by Newt Gingrich --- over the Conservative Candidate Hoffman who had been backed by everyone from Palin to De Mint to Pawlenty. Hoffman was winning until Gingrich threw the race to Scozzafava -- and then she backed out and quit -- throeing the race to the Democrat Owens, who won! What kind of "Conservatism" is that? What kind of "Conservative cooperation" is that?
And your age makes you the know all, end all arbiter of truth?
I've also been politically active all my life as well(and an investigative reporter - I do research before spouting off). I'm also a great grandmother. So using your own criteria, Save it.
You're outing yourself...as a parser of truth, same as Paul.
Not everyone sucks up the talking points of you Paulistinians.
You should go back to defending Ron Paul for his statement that the Bush administration was in “glee” over 9/11. He still needs help on those threads. Or perhaps you can go back and try and prove Paul is right in believing that Israel was actually behind the 9/11 attacks.
It took about 5 minutes for educated Freepers to point out the fundamental and purposeful dishonesty of Ron Paul in this video - such as the ethics charges which were dismissed. Paul always seemed astray on many Conservative issues, but he’s pretty much blown the “at least Ron Paul is honest” talking point to hell. Clearly he’s not above stooping to lying and complete dishonesty.
Shame on Ron Paul for his lies, shame on him!
And what does this have to do with Newt Gingrich on video in his own words? What does this have to do with Newt Gingrich repeatedly admiring FDR as "one of our greatest presidents"? What does this have to do with Newt ultimately throwing an election of a Conservative to a Liberal Democrat? Nothing.
It wouldn't matter if I supported Perry, Bachmann or Cain. It's about Newt. And if you think that this has been hard on him, just wait until the media savvy Democrats get a hold of him if he wins the nomination.
... on a "Park Bench"?
Rupert Murdoch became American citizen (and IIRC, lost his Australian citizenship because of that) in 1985. He did not need Newt to get him out of non-existent problem.
Then Newt got a 4 million dollar book deal from Murdochs Harper-Collins. When even Republicans started screaming about the legality
A lot of Michel-Dole-Bush-McCain Republicans hated Newt's guts and his Second Republican Revolution and his Contract with America. When Republicans' coup against Gingrich failed in 1997, they joined Democrats in blaming all the problems on Newt.
Dems filed 84 ethics charges against Gingrich, he was cleared on 83 of them, including the Harper-Collins book. IRS cleared him on the 84th charge later.
The $300K payoff was the price Newt personally paid to stop becoming a target of fraudulent ethics charges and a distraction to more pressing things, including later botched by Senate Republicans impeachment trial of Bill Clinton.

Really, we should do better than repeat liberal lies about other candidates, just because "our" candidate is not a front-runner.
As far as “in their own words,” this should be the last thing you Paulistinians want as a standard. Who was it who said there should be no immigration policy and that everyone should be free to come and go as they please? Oh yeah, that was Ron Paul!
Who blamed Israel for 9/11? Ron Paul
Who said the Bush Administration had glee because of the 9/11 attacks? Ron Paul
Who blasted Reagan in 1987, implying he was worse than Carter, and left the GOP because of his disgust for Ronnie? Ron Paul.
So in 1995 Newt Gingrich, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, was directly advocating books by authors who write about how the Constitution "must die"? And you don't have a problem with that?
Well-played.
Leave it to Paulistinians to use an opinion piece by “The Moral Liberal” website as their authentic source of truth.
You should be posting at the Huffington Post, not here.
Oops, made the mistake that you might actually read and dispute the evidence, instead of going the easy ad hominem route -- my mistake -- forgot who I was talking to.
And BTW, you might want to read a bit and discover the real meaning of the word "Liberal" before the communists stole it -- much like communists are also stealing the word "Conservative" to mean anything that they want it to mean.
Opinion pieces and claims to pretend to know what Newt Gingrich is thinking isn’t “evidence” to be “disputed.”
You Paulistinians and your Conspiracy theories!
—Israel behind 9/11
—Bush gleeful at 9/11 attacks
—Newt a secret Communist
What a bunch of crackpot theories you Paulistinians advocate!
When I say Rockefeller Republican (Newt was Nelson Rockefeller's campaign manager), let's look at what David Rockefeller (founder of the CFR of which Newt is a member) had to say:
For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as "internationalists" and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it. -David Rockefeller
And Rockefeller Republicans were the enemies of the Goldwater Conservative Republicans within the Republican Party from the 1950's-1970's. They only allowed Goldwater Conservative Ronald Reagan become the GOP nominee as long as Reagan accepted Rockefeller Republican George H Bush as his running mate.
Newt doesn't have to be an all out "communist" to keep moving the concept of a (supposed) "Conservative" so far Left that it becomes virtually unrecognizable to the general public and means nothing. That's what Newt, McCain, Graham, etc have been doing in Congress for the last 30 years.
Sorry it’s facts. It always amazes me when people think that everything about an incident is played out in public.
Consider this:
When Newt was kicked out of Congress by
Repubs et al due to his lack of ethics BS. Why did Livingston after taking over as Speaker. Livingston actively campaigned to get Newt out and ran openly to replace him. anyway, Within a week or two someone leaked to the media that Livingston had had an affair many years before. did not destroy his marriage. Was done to make him resign. We know that Murdoch has a penchant for dirty Laundry ops. Cain was a shoe in for the nomination. oops all of a sudden anonymous leaks Cain sex harassment claims.
When THAT did work. Well H*** bring out the “other” woman.
That worked and ole Newt was on his way.Makes you wonder why he didn’t feel the need to get an organisation together.
I waiting to get an answer if all of the Fox support of Newt and the numerous debates are considered campaign donations since Murdoch has a history of supporting Newt since at least 1984.
Yeah Park Bench Newt admitted it and so did Murdoch. Also Newts editor Ms. Chu confirmed all of it.
So this is not Dem stuff. This is ALL NEWTS stuff.
But I’m sure the Dummie ops room is having a field day rummaging through Newts dirty laundry.
Ron Paul is a Reagan-hating, non-Conservative Libertarian who thinks the U.S. is the reason behind everything that’s wrong with the world.
He cited his hatred of the Reagan presidency as the reason he left the GOP in 1987, implying Reagan was worse than Carter. He openly called Reagan corrupt.
He has tried the “Third Way” on several occasions, running as a Libertarian - a party 50/50 composed of some of the furthest left ideolouges alive. He might just do it again this election cycle.
He is a spokesman for Reagan-haters, 9/11 Truthers, Israel-bashers, and pacifist anti-U.S. Military kooks.
You Paulistinians REALLY don’t want to get into second-degree endorsements. Paul has endorsed more than a few kooks for office, and let’s not even get into his racist newsletter. He advocates Libertarianism - do I even need to get into the litany of Liberal positions that Libertarianism believes in?
Ron Paul Endorses Chuck Baldwin for President:
http://www.ronpaul.com/2008-09-23/ron-paul-endorses-chuck-baldwin-for-president/
Chuck Baldwin ran on disbanding the entire U.S. Military. Ron Paul endorsed him in part because of this.
You seem incapable of discussing the subject at hand — Newt Gingrich — so I will leave you to your verbal diarrhea on Ron Paul. Have fun.
And your point is?
Reagan was a democrat into his 50's - and he was - GASP - DIVORCED.
OTOH, Carter, Clinton and Obama have never been divorced. That helped them to be great presidents - oh wait.
Ouch. That ad is devastating.
