Today on Morning Joe, they were playing clips of Steve Krofts 60 Minutes interview with President Obama, and I literally started screaming. There is only so much of this bullst I can endure without talking back to my TV:

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Yeah, no, I understand. But I think that they like the ideas that we put forward. I mean, the interesting thing is the majority of Republicans actually think we should have a balanced approach to deficit reduction, including tax increases for the wealthy. The majority of Republicans do think that we should make investments in roads and bridges and improving our airports and investing in basic research and medical research. So if you take my name out of it and just look at the ideas that weve been presenting, these are common sense, mainstream ideas that

THAT WE CANT AFFORD! YOU ALREADY BLEW A TRILLION DOLLARS ON THIS STIMULUS CRAP AND WHAT DID IT GET US, HUH? WHERES THE ****ING RECOVERY? THE DEFICITS OUT OF CONTROL! WE DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THIS CRAP! SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT COMMON SENSE!

When Comcast bought NBC Universal, I thought perhaps some common business sense would cause them to try and balance out their political rhetoric on MSNBC to increase ratings, but for some reason they seem to have doubled down on it and they continue to sink. Does anybody have a rational explanation for this apparent “death wish”?
I haven’t watched 60 Minutes in more than ten years.
But now, the truth is apparent. Obama is ALWAYS on TV, somewhere. HE NEVER SHUTS UP. He tells the same lies over, and over and OVER in the same snotty, sarcastic, dismissive tone that says to the audience: "If you don't agree with me, then OBVIOUSLY you're stupid or else, greedy." And whatever he is yammering on about - it's someone else's fault, and not his responsibility.
He calls spending "investment". He calls income "wealth". He creates armies of straw men and then knocks them down with bellicose blasts of bullsh!t.
And then he looks you in the eye with his own cold brown orbs and tells you that "change is hard", and that he and his collectivist cronies (who all went to Harvard) know just what to do and what be doing it right now, if it weren't for those dastardly Republicans, who are presumably having money fights while sitting naked amidst their bags of ill-gotten gold, while poor Tom Joad and his family shiver pitifully in the cold.
Welcome to the 1930s. In more ways than one...
On the good side; no one really watches 60 Minutes anymore except for lock step liberals. So, he was only preaching to a small part of his own choir.
I expect you'll see RNC ads making the same points. Obama is toast.
I stopped watching 60 Minutes when they did an Enron segment about a pipeline in India in 1996. When they mentioned a “White House connection” they showed File Footage of George Bush. Who was NOT president in 1996.
Couldn't watch - I was afraid I'd kick my TV screen in.........
That neat invention uses the text track for closed captioning, giving you 30 seconds of silence when the name of choice is mentioned. Thus you can shut off discussion of Obama, but not necessarily obama himself. More development work is needed.
They are that freaking stupid.
Investments in roads and bridges and improving our airports.
Translated: Pay back to the unions for votes.
He's a pyromaniac loose in a field of straw men.

Well that fellow with the MUTING device was “close”. Thank you for the link, very interesting. Now if it would just recognize Obama’s voice and then the software would mute the TV.
Heh. That's precisely how Bill Buckley once described John Kenneth Galbraith. It's a perfectly apt description for Obama, who enthusiastically refutes propositions that no one has asserted.
The problem for him is: if you play with fire long enough, something you didn't intend to immolate will go up in flames, and perhaps you with it.
Does Odumbass think America wanted ‘a balanced approach’ to his massive spending increases?

Another of Stacy McCain’s comments.
Rummyfan, maybe you should have put his other comment in quotes?
Adnim, all I did was click on the link to see that the comment you pulled was from Stacy McCain...not Rummyfan.
