I think the $10,000 bet is going to make Romney the biggest loser....Des Moines Register columnist already has his hit piece written, and more will follow. Look for a $10,000 week of political cartoons ahead...

I wonder if her condescending and superficial comments about Herman Cain attracted any former Cain Train riders. Somehow I doubt it. A transparent and annoying performance.

Newt, as always, looked like the adult in the room. He was attacked relentlessly, but never really flinched.

Bachmann ...so annoying. I respect her for her knowledge, but she’s annoying as all get out.

Actually, Santorum would not be a bad VP pick for Newt — would balance him out as far as family values go. It’s a thought anyway.

Perry — a good man, but not presidential material. He’s barely articulate.

Romney — gonna bet $10,000 that he will NOT obtain the nomination at this point.

Frankly, I think Newt wants Perry to take it. Just my gut...

I think it’s hilarious that Perry can so easily unnerve Romney. Now Romney’s stuck with that silly $10,000 bet remark during a period of tough times and high employment.

At this time, I will take Perry over anyone else running. I think he would be the strongest fighter for limited government.

Well, he gave the perfect example to defend his statement, Ronald Reagan: The Soviet Union is an evil empire.

And I actually agree with Newt, historically. But the Newt example wasn't completely honest, because Newt's position wasn't at all Ronald Reagan's position on the Palestinians -- and Newt had to know that because this article is from the CFR and Newt is also a CFR member.

OMG they are attacking Romney for offering the $10,000 bet because it shows he’s rich and doesn’t understand poor people! Well he could have bet $10 I suppose.

They are really attacking Romney now.

IMHO Newt did well followed by Perry (Maybe even bested by Perry).

Newt shows again he is the best debater. Perry had a good night. Neither gets my vote because I’ve had it with compassionate suits pandering to illegals while young Americans see their jobs going to illegals for third world wages.

Yep, Perry did very well, and glad to see it.

Donna Braziere is on now - gotta hit the switch, can not take her...

You are right about the ten grand bet comment by Romney. Jake the snake led off with it in his analysis immediately after the debate.

Perry and Gingrich are the clear winners.

Romney stumbled and bumbled. Bachmann is still annoying and Paul is still crazy, although he has his lucid moments. Santorum, sadly, isn’t going anywhere.

But the clear loser of the night was Diane Sawyer. We can only guess at what she was on.
